NTeQ Model
NTeQ Model
• Has five unique steps– Computer functions– Data manipulation– Activities after use of computers– Activities prior to using computers– Activities while at the computer
Computer Functions & Objectives
• Objective states what they will learn.
• Computer functions matches the verb in the objective.– Verb = computer function– Examples
• Write matches word processing• Analyze matches spreadsheets• Identify matches database• Design matches draw
Data Manipulation
• Collecting the data• What the students do with the data• Examples
– Draw– Graph– Sort the data
Computer activities
• Prior activities– Students planning
• List items• Organize data• Prepare a rough draft
• Post activities– Lead to analysis of results– Presentation
Computer Activities
• While at the computer– Go hand in hand with prior activities– What they are going to do
• Writing their reports• Looking up vocabulary terms• Organize data in spreadsheet • Graph results
