“...The Reconnection Journey through the Tree

Rings is a tool to help individuals visualize a

pathway to reconnect to the culture by learning

cultural information and traditional health

teachings. Our cultural foundation is based on the

teachings of the Peace Maker (peace, strength and

a good mind) and the Code of Handsome Lake. As

part of her business, Cindy also provides cultural

awareness to those who are seeking a reconnection

to the Haudenosaunee culture. As a result of our

consultations with the development of the

Haudenosaunee Health Model, the

Haudenosaunee Resource Centre acknowledges

and supports the Reconnection Journey through

the Tree Rings resource.” (an excerpt from a Letter

of Support written by the Haudenosaunee

Resource Centre dated March 31, 2009).

With the development of the traditional health model, the Reconnection Journey through the Tree Rings will help those who are seeking strength, peace or a good mind. Native people can utilize universal aspects of their own culture into the traditional health model. They will find a pathway to reconnect self to the culture that extends within creation...through the roots of the

Tree of Peace.
