The search is on! The Eighth Annual
Longest Married Couple
Project in the U.S as
well as each of the 50
states and territories is
underway. If you know a couple with
a long marriage, please nominate
them for this honor. This annual
search is sponsored by Worldwide
Marriage Encounter. More infor-
mation can be found at wwme.org.
World Marriage Day The Symbol illustrates
husband and wife as two
candle-like figures, re-
minding us that married
love calls us to help en-
lighten the world. The
couple is joined by a heart, focusing on
love as the power that fosters unity within
the couple and generates the capacity to
be life-giving and inspire others to fruit-
fulness and unity. The Theme for World
Marriage Day has been permanently
adopted as “Love One Another”. This
phrase is the commandment given by
Jesus in John 15:12. It speaks to us in a
simple but challenging way of how our
Father wishes us to live.
Loving one another is a daily decision.

Verse of the Week

anything."

Commission’s Corner What does our mission state-
ment mean? We, as a Catholic
community, are a family.
Family; one, not separate. We
let the Holy Spirit guide us, we
follow the Ten Commandments and God's
teachings. The first of the Ten Command-
ments being, "love God above all
things." We bring our families to mass to
celebrate the Eucharist. We become like
Jesus' disciples, all seated around the table
as on the day of the Last Supper. We pray
for all of God's children all over the world,
not just from our church community.
We pray for hope that tomorrow will be
better than yesterday without knowing
what the future holds, trusting God help
us bear our crosses with grace and love.
We have to be willing to share what we
have learned in our faith. Don't be afraid
to share your faith with those God has put
in your life.
Love each other. We don't always have
to like what a person says or does, but we
can still find in our hearts the same love
and compassion Jesus shows to us to share
with them.
We are called to reach out to those in
our community, help the poor, and to pray
like Jesus. Invite friends and neighbors to
mass. With God's grace, we can tell others
why we follow the seven Sacraments:
Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist,
Confirmation, Holy Orders, Holy Matri-
mony, and Anointing of the Sick. Your
faith can touch the hearts of those who are
lost and broken and bring them closer to
God.
Always remember to be kind, loving,
patient, and forgiving. Do whatever you
can, no matter how big or small. If we all
work together, we can become complete
as God's one family.

Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do You, O Prince of the
Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen
Pray to St. Michael for protection against the power of evil, and to bring us closer to God.
