Sat. Oct. 12: Growing up WILD Workshop 9 am – 1 pm For early childhood educators, agency personnel and leaders of youth organizations. Growing Up WILD is a supplementary environmental education program emphasizing wildlife designed specifically for children ages 3-7 years. Growing Up WILD activities are correlated to Head Start and NAEYC Standards. The workshop will offer exciting new teaching ideas for use in science, math, social studies, language arts, physical education, music, art, and more! Each participant will receive a free supplementary guide full of innovative activities. Participating teachers are also eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

Sat. Dec. 14: Florida Black Bear Workshop 9 am – 1 pm

The Curriculum Guide is a comprehensive series of lessons on the natural history and conservation needs of Florida's black bear. The 10 lessons were designed to address many subject areas such as reading, language arts, history, geography, social studies, math, art and science.

4 hour workshop offered, educators must attend a workshop to receive the curriculum guide. Participating teachers are eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

Sat. Jan. 11, 2014 Project WILD Workshop 9 am – 3 pm

For K-12 educators, agency personnel and leaders of youth organizations. Project WILD is a supplementary conservation and environmental education program emphasizing wildlife. Project WILD activities are correlated to the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. (currently working on Common Core Correlations). The workshop will offer exciting new teaching ideas for use in science, math, social studies, language arts, physical education, music, art, and more! Each participant will receive a free supplementary guide full of innovative activities. Participating teachers are also eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

Sat. Feb. 8, 2014 Flying WILD Workshop 9 am – 3 pm

For K-12 educators, agency personnel and leaders of youth organizations Flying WILD is a supplementary environmental education program emphasizing birds and bird conservation. The workshop will offer exciting new teaching ideas for use in science, math, social studies, language arts, physical education, music, art, and more! Each participant will receive a free supplementary guide full of innovative activities. Participating teachers are also eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

Sat. April 12, 2014 WILD about Science & Civics: Sustaining Wildlife Workshop 11am – 3 pm Nationally developed interdisciplinary curriculum that serves as a guide to engaging students with service learning and environmental issues. Correlated to national science and conservation education standards. Target audience is teachers/educators for grades 9 – 12. Participating teachers are eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

Sat. May 3, 2014 Project Aquatic WILD Workshop 9 am – 3 pm

Project Aquatic WILD workshops are useful to classroom teachers as well non-formal educators including: scout and club leaders, nature center, museum, zoo and aquarium staff, park rangers, and home parents. Project Aquatic WILD workshops are a minimum of six hours long. Participants get hands-on experience in at least five activities and receive the Project Aquatic WILD activity guide. The Project WILD Aquatic Education Activity Guide emphasizes aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecosystems. Participating teachers are also eligible for in-service credit upon completion of workshop.

July 21-25 Week Long Teacher Extravaganza;

5 days of workshops in PLT, Project WILD, Project WET, Archery in the School etc. More details to come. Participating teachers are eligible for in-service credit. Will be presented by multiple agencies and organizations. Lots of fun for everyone. Space is limited!
