English Baptism Classes / Clases en Español
Two required Baptism Classes will be held in English and in Spanish in the Parish Hall on Thursdays, May 4th & 11th at 7:30 p.m. English Baptisms: Saturday, March 13th. attend 5p.m. Mass. Spanish Baptisms: Sunday, March 14th. attend the 12 p.m. Mass. Baptisms will be after the Mass you attend. Please sign up at the Church Office and bring the child’s Birth Certificate. Prayer Blanket Ministry: A gift of love
The Prayer Blanket Ministry provides comfort to those in need of support and prayer. A community of faith relies on God and one another to travel life's journey. Prayers are offered for recipients as the blankets are constructed by members of this ministry and thereafter are blessed by the priest. Who is eligible to receive a blanket? •Adults or children with a physical or emotional illness •Individuals preparing for surgery or recovering from an acute illness •Individuals living with a chronic condition or in treat-ment for a life-threatening illness •High-risk pregnancy, miscarriage or neonatal crisis •Individuals who are experiencing a crisis such as the loss of a loved one If you or a loved one is in need of a Prayer Blan-ket you may obtain one at the church office or in the sacristy at the back of the church. CDA Scholarships:
Local Catholic Daughters court #2073 is offering
~Two $500.00 scholarships to 2017 graduating seniors who are the child or grandchild of a current CDA member of Court #2073. ~ One Catholic School Pre-K through senior year scholarship for $250.00 is available to members of St. John’s or Sacred Heart in Manvel. The deadline for both applications is April 28, 2017.
National Court Scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 are being offered to two students entering the 9th grade in a Catholic High School in the fall of 2017 and three for graduate level students. The deadline is May 1, 2017.
