Lenten Devotional booklets from

Living Compass will be available in

the lower lobby and parish office.

Bring your old palms to church

before then, place them at the

base of the crucifix (in the plant-

well) in the lower lobby.

The Lenten Study will be offered twice a week:

Daytime: Mondays at noon beginning February 23

Evening: Wednesday at 6:30 pm beginning February 25

You are welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch or supper.

A 5-week Lenten DVD and Discussion Study will be held in the Hearth Room.

This is a great opportunity to learn about Franciscan Spirituality… a natural thing for

our parish!

Lenten Study with Bishop Miller and Guests, @ All Saints’ Cathedral – come Thursday nights during Lent or join Lenten Study on-line

Join Bishop Miller on a journey into the four passion narratives this Lent. Bishop

Miller will lead a 5-week, live, on-line discussion Thursday evenings at 7:00

p.m. (2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/25). The study will be webcast from All Saints’

Cathedral. Joining Bishop each week will be a guest scholar. Dean Kevin Carroll

will be the moderator and take questions in real time via Facebook and

Twitter. The discussion will also be available on YouTube for use at a later time.

You can join the live discussion via Google Hangout. Email Dean Carroll

at [email protected] for an invite and more information.

Are you moving?

Getting married?

Throwing a party?

Know of a

parishioner that’s

sick and/or in

hospital?

If you’re hoping to

reach our readers

for any reason (almost any reason) let us know

at [email protected]. If we’re able to,

we’ll get the word out for you.

Don’t suffer or party alone!

Altar Flowers

The very sad and lonely sign-up

sheet for sponsoring altar flowers is

still hanging on the “Sign-up”

bulletin board in the lower lobby.

While it’s true that there are no

flowers on the altar during lent, that

needn’t stop you for SIGNING UP to

sponsor flowers for a post-Lent

Sunday service.

If you are dedicating the flowers to

someone, that dedication can be

placed here in the Canticle. We can

even throw in a photograph of the

dedicatee!

Fellowship Hour

The very sad and lonely sign-up

sheet for hosting the fellowship

gathering which follows each Sunday

service is, likewise still droopily

hanging on the “Sign-up” bulletin

board in the lower lobby.

Want to host but….

don’t want to host alone?

find clean-up daunting?

thinking the cost a bit out of

reach?

find it a bit too difficult to lug all

those yummy treats through the

snow and ice?

You’re in luck. We just happen to

have the diocese' premier problem

solver on staff.

Editor’s Note St. Francis is currently in the process of migrating the office files from computer-based software to cloud-based software.

This will involve learning new software and trying to get everything we do now on the old to work on the new. The process is sure to take some time and will undoubtedly suffer it’s share of bumps, bruises and detours.

The most visible of these ‘files’ is the Canticle. The poor thing started on a Mac, was dragged over to a PC and is now being shot into cyberspace. I confess the Canticle has had a strange few months of redesign followed by redesign, a bit of lag and that one issue I forgot to publish….or write.

I thank you for the patience you have always extended to me, I’ll do my very best to get all of the migration accomplished as quickly and as smoothly as I can.

Thank you, Shelly Frey
