ACM ICPC 2018 SSL VPN User Manual

前言

此次比賽為保護比賽平台主機、以及統一參賽者之連線環境，所有比賽隊

伍皆須要透過 VPN連線方式才能參與比賽。

All teams are required to connect to Online Programming Contest platform via

SSL VPN provided by ICPC2018.

注意事項

SSL VPN第一次會先使用「預設的密碼」登入(預設密碼的取得請參閱本手

冊說明)，第一次登入後 VPN系統會要求變更密碼，參賽者可自行輸入自

己的密碼。

Each team login SSL VPN with default account and password provided by

ICPC2018, and will be asked to change password for the following login session.

SSL VPN Client在閒置 6小時後會自動登出，參賽者若在閒置後無法登入

PC^2平台，請重新連線 SSL VPN，然後重新登入 PC^2平台。

The Idle timeout of SSL VPN Client is 6 hours. Please reconnect to SSL VPN

after session timeout in order to re-login PC^2 system.

SSL VPN Client 平台要求

作業系統：Windows 7 SP1 & up / Mac OS X 10.4 up / CentOS or Ubuntu

OS supported: Windows 7 SP1 and up / Mac OS X 10.4 up / CentOS or Ubuntu

1. 使用者一律透過 Pulse Secure程式連線 VPN，請至

http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/tool.html 網頁直接下載 SSL VPN安裝程式及參考

設定說明

Please download appropriate Pulse Secure Client according to your OS from

http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/tool.html.

2. 參賽者電腦防火牆必需允許存取 guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw之 443 Port，以完成

SSL VPN Client之安裝與連線建立

Configure the firewall setting on your computer to allowing accessing to

1. 根據你的作業系統下載對應的 Pulse Secure程式後，直接執行檔案，將會

安裝 Pulse Secure程式

Windows 32bit：http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/vpn/Download/ps-pulse-win-

9.0r1.0-b571-32bitinstaller.msi

Windows 64bit：http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/vpn/Download/ps-pulse-win-

安裝完成後，在「所有程式」或自行選擇的安裝路徑找到「Pulse

Secure」，點選開啟。

2. 安裝後第一次開啟時，畫面上尚無連線，此時先按右上角「＋」新增連線

3. 在「新增連線」視窗輸入資料：「名稱」欄位輸入「ACMICPC2018VPN」，

及「伺服器 URL」欄位輸入「https://guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw」

4. 輸入完成後按「新增」可將此連線設定記錄下來，以後直接按「連線」即

可

5. 第一次建立 VPN連線時，請在連線視窗輸入 ACMICPC2018 VPN使用者

名稱及預設密碼

輸入使用者名稱及預設密碼後，會要求更改密碼

6. 輸入預設舊密碼，並輸入新密碼後，即建立連線，此時 PulseSecure連線狀

態顯示「已連線」。之後再次連 VPN時，請輸入新修改的密碼。

7. 如欲檢視連線資訊，選擇「檔案」「連線」「進階連線詳細資訊」，即

可顯示此次 VPN連線取得的 IP位址及連線相關資訊：

8. 如欲中斷 VPN連線，在連線視窗按一下「中斷連線」即可。

1. 下載 Pulse Linux client檔案：請依照所使用 OS系統及版本參照上述對照連結取代以

下指令

wget http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/vpn/Download/ps-pulse-linux-9.0r1.0-b739-ubuntu-debian-

64-bit-installer.deb

2. 安裝 Pulse Linux client程式（須以 root權限執行）

sudo dpkg --install ps-pulse-linux-9.0r1.0-b739-ubuntu-debian-64-bit-installer.deb

3. 首次執行須安裝必要套件

/usr/local/pulse/PulseClient_x86_64.sh install_dependency_packages

4. 建立 VPN連線：執行指令 /usr/local/pulse/pulseUi 開啟 PulseSecure Client，第一次開

啟時畫面上尚無連線，此時先按右上角「＋」新增連線

5. 在新增連線視窗的 Name欄位輸入 VPN名稱，URL欄位輸入：

「guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw」，之後按 Save。從 Pulse Secure視窗直接按「Connect」即可連

VPN。

6. 在 VPN連線畫面輸入 ACMICPC2018分配的使用者名稱及預設密碼

第一次登入會要求更改預設密碼，輸入完成後按「Change Password」。

7. 畫面顯示成功建立 VPN連線，如欲中斷連線按「Disconnect」。

1. 從 ICPC2018官方網站下載頁面 http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/tool.html下載

Pulse Secure for MacOS client程式。

2. 點選下載的 DMG檔開始安裝

按【繼續】開始安裝

3. 進入 Finder 左側選擇應用程式,找到 Pulse Secure 並執行

4. 開啟 Pulse Secure程式，並點選左下角的 "┼" 新增連線設定

5. 輸入連線資訊, 名稱可自訂，例如 ICPC2018 , URL 需輸入

https://guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw , 並點選新增 (如不須儲存則可直接按連線)

6. 新增完成後 即可點選"連線"

7. 第一次建立 VPN連線時，請在連線視窗輸入 ACMICPC2018 VPN使用者

Pulse Secure Client for Windows Installation Instructions (English

version)

1. Download the appropriate installation software from our ACMICPC2018 VPN

download site at http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/download/tools.html, according to

your Windows version (32bit or 64bit) or the Mac Version.

2. Start the Pulse Secure for Windows installation

3. The setup Wizard should complete successfully and you should see the

following:

Now the Pulse Secure software is installed on your system and must be setup for

you to do the connection to the ACMICPC2018 VPN Server.

4. When open Pulse Secure Client for the first time you will get the following

Screen. The screen shows that you have no connections defined. Create a new

connection by clicking on the “+” icon:

5. After you click on the “+” icon you should get the ADD Connections Box pop up

screen. Fill in the information. The Name: field box is ACMICPC2018 VPN

and the Server URL: field box must be https://guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw. Then Click

on the “Add” button.

6. Now Connect to the ACMICPC2018 VPN connection that you just created by

clicking on the “Connect” button:

7. You should see the following Panel. Please Enter your ACMICPC2018 VPN

User Name and Password. Then Click the Connect button:

8. ACMICPC2018 VPN requires user to change password at first time sign in.

Please enter assigned password and followed by new password.

9. If your system is Ok and in compliance for access you will be connected to the

ACMICPC2018 VPN. You should see the following Screen

10. Disconnect from the ACMICPC2018 VPN by clicking on the “Disconnect”

Pulse Secure Client for Ubuntu/CentOS Installation Instructions (English version)

1. Goto ICPC2018 website http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/tool.htm and download the

software according to your Ubuntu/CentOS version. Or use the following command

to download Pulse Linux client according to the download link of your OS version.

wget http://<download path URL>

2. Install Pulse Linux client（with root privileges）

sudo dpkg --install ps-pulse-linux-9.0r1.0-b739-ubuntu-debian-64-bit-installer.deb

3. You may need to install necessary packages

/usr/local/pulse/PulseClient_x86_64.sh install_dependency_packages

4. Launch Pulase Secure Client by execute command /usr/local/pulse/pulseUi. Add new

connection configuration by press + at the upper right corner.

5. Enter Name and URL (guestvpn.ntu.edu.tw) as following figure shows, then press Save.

Press Connect to establish VPN connection.

6. Enter User and Password to Login.

Pulse Secure Client for MacOS Installation Instructions (English

version):

1. Goto ICPC2018 website http://icpc2018.ntu.edu.tw/tool.html and download

Pulse Secure Client for MacOS.

2. Click downloaded PulseSecure program to start installation.

3. After installation completed, click PulseSecure Icon to launch SSL VPN client.

Click on “+” to setup new SSL VPN session.

4. Enter SSL VPN setting as following:

5. After complete SSL VPN setting, click “Connect” to establish VPN session.

6. Please enter ICPC2018 VPN account and default password. You’re required to

change password on first time login.

7. If your system is Ok and in compliance for access you will be connected to the

ACMICPC2018 VPN. You should see the following Screen.
