INDIVIDUAL CHESS FESTIVAL-2014

1. Zonals of the Sri Lanka Schools Individual Chess Festival-2014 will be held on 17th &

18th

of May.

2. There will be four divisions as follows:

Under 7 - Born in 2007, 2008 and January, 2009

Under 9 - Born in 2005 & 2006

Under 11 - Born in 2003 & 2004

Under 13 - Born in 2001 & 2002

The ages are considered as at 01.01.2014. Originals of the birth certificates must be

produced at the registration.

3. Students of government and international schools affiliated to Sri Lanka Schools Chess

Association are eligible to participate in this festival and they must send their applications

through their Principals.

4. Application forms and details of the festival will be sent to the schools by the Zonal

Organizers. A list of them is given below. Please contact them for further details.

5. Registrations will be done on 16th of May, 2014 by the Zonal Organizers.

6. There will be a Final Festival too which will be organized by Mr.Indika Jayawardane and

held on 31st May and 01

st of June, 2014 at Dudley Senanayake Central College,

Tholangamuwa . Students who have an international rating of 1500 or above need not

play the Zonals but must apply for the Finals direct through their schools.
