Implemented an annual Halloween program whose success was published in an article in the Talking Stick a monthly publication of the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International. Program has become an annual tradition on campus. Implemented an overhaul of Residence Life and Housing operations for the campus impacting organizational structure, contract design, budget, educational programming, and virtually every other function of the department. Increased operating efficiency and customer service. Professionalized all operations of the department through bringing in a best practices perspective Initiated residence hall renovation projects to enhance desirability of on-campus housing and serve students better. Created a First Year Residential Experience program that over a five-year period increased retention rates for freshmen men by 18% and freshmen women by 38%. Served as President of the Georgia Housing Officers: Organized and implemented the annual State Conference. Initiated the collection of data regarding residential life positions in the state with information regarding pay scales. Hosted the Georgia Resident Assistant Saturday Seminar with over 450 participants. Served on the University’s BANNER implementation team with direct responsibility for all aspects of bringing the Housing Module in BANNER online. Presented at the Southeast Association of Housing Officers regional conference , “Staff Development through Structured Outdoor Adventure Experiences”, 1991. Presented at the Georgia Housing Officers state conference, “Situational Leadership for Residence Hall Directors”, 1992 Presented at the Georgia Housing Officers state conference “Future Directions in College Housing” 1995.
