Since its launch in Barcelona in 2008, the World Architecture Festival has become theannual meeting place for more than 2,000 global architectural leaders.

2017 will mark our 10 year anniversary and our second year of WAF in Berlin, a city withmagnificent architectural heritage, and first-class contemporary buildings, which make it a truearchitectural destination. The extraordinary re-emergence of Berlin as a capital city hasprompted a wave of architectural projects which have global attention – a perfect backdrop forthe World Architecture Festival.

Our attendees come to learn, discuss latest trends, share ideas and celebrate excellence. TheWAF awards sit at the heart of the festival, the only global awards programme where projectsare presented live by the architects to an illustrious panel of international judges.

2017 will see the festival’s exhibition and networking area grow once again offering furtheropportunity for you to expand your presence at the festival. The theme for the 2017programme will be Performance, reviewing the role of architecture and buildings from avariety of perspectives. These will include the way buildings become part of the urbanspectacle to functional, economic and psychological impacts.
