This magnificent frog is called the Giant Monkey Frog. The scientific name is Phyllomedusa bicolor. According to Eleanor Warren-Thomas this Frog lives in Amazon Basin in South America and the Giant Monkey Frog can also be

found in Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and the Guianas. Kambo medicina website has providing some interesting information about the abilities that the Gaint Monkey Frog obtains. This frog discharges a poison that repels all predators because of it's potency. According to the Kambo medicina in many tribes they would use the poison before hunting for strength, immunity, and good luck. Thanks to Vittorio Erspamer who described the poison from the frog as "a fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications".Kambo medicina also has informed us their are scientific studies that show the poison is made up of many peptides that are beneficial to the human body. The poison has antibiotic properties and strengthens the immune system. It is also known to be an anti inflammatory. The poison also helps to heal eyesight and cure pain. Their are some effects reported for potential medical uses such as brain diseases (Alzheimer and Parkinson). It's amazing how many amphibians and reptiles have extraordinary gifts that can help us.
