Para ser admitido a un programa de maestría el estudiante debe:

1. Poseer un bachillerato o su equivalente de una universidad acreditada.

2. Someter la transcripción oficial de créditos de la institución que confirió el bachillerato.

3. Tener un índice académico mínimo de 2.50 en los últimos 60 créditos de trabajo académico en el nivel subgraduado, graduado o en una combinación de ambos.

a. Los estudiantes que soliciten al programa de maestría y que no cuenten con el índice académico requerido, tienen la opción de que se tomen en consideración las calificaciones de los cursos que se hayan repetido, luego de habérsele otorgado un bachillerato. Las calificaciones obtenidas se utilizarán para determinar un nuevo índice académico para efectos de ser admitido al programa.

4. Cumplir con cualquier prueba de medición establecida por el programa al que solicita.

5. Cumplir con los criterios de admisión específicos establecidos para el departamento o programa al cual se solicita, según lo aprobado por el Vicepresidente de Asuntos Académicos, Estudiantiles y Planificación Sistémica.

Para conocer los requisitos de admisión a los Certificados Profesionales debe contactar al director de admisiones del recinto autorizado a ofrecer el programa.

For admission requirements to a Professional Certificate you should contact the Admissions Director of the Campus authorized to offer the program.

To be considered for admission to a master’s program, students must:

1. Have a bachelor’s or its equivalent from an accredited institution.

2. Submit the official transcript from the institution that conferred the baccalaureate degree.

3. Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.50 in the last 60 credit hours of academic work at the undergraduate or graduate level or in a combination of both levels.

a. Applicants for admission to master’s programs who do not meet the required GPA, have the option of taking into consideration the grades obtained in repeated courses, after having been conferred a baccalaureate degree. The grades obtained will be used to determine a new GPA for admission to the program.

4. Meet the results of any test established by the program to which they are applying to.

5. Meet the specific admission criteria for the programs to which they are requesting admission. These criteria shall be established by the Department or Graduate program and have approval of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs and Systemic Planning.

2. Someter la transcripción oficial de créditos de la institución que confirió el bachillerato y la maestría.

3. Tener el índice académico mínimo requerido por el programa correspondiente.

4. Haber tomado, en un periodo no mayor de cinco años antes de tramitar la solicitud, una de las siguientes pruebas:

a. Graduate Record Examination (GRE)b. Miller Analogy Test (MAT)c. Examen de Admisión a Estudios Posgrado (EXADEP)d. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

5. Someter tres cartas de recomendación.

6. Poseer un dominio razonable de los idiomas español e inglés.

7. Recibir una recomendación favorable del Comité de Admisiones, luego de una entrevista.

8. Cumplir con los criterios de admisión específicos establecidos para el departamento o programa al cual se solicita, según lo aprobado por el Vicepresidente de Asuntos Académicos, Estudiantiles y Planificación Sistémica.

PROGRAMAS DE DOCTORADO

To be considered for admission to a doctoral program, students must:

5. Submit three letters of recommendation.

6. Have reasonable proficiency in Spanish and English.
