“Every day is a new day,

new hope and new oppor-tunity. Good morning!”

31 Lord I just want to Take a minute not to ask you for any-thing BUT say thank you for blessing me for all I have!

1 “ I get up every morning and it’s going to be a great day. You never know when it’s going to be over so I refuse to have a bad day.”

2 “The sunrise, of course, doesn’t care if we watch it or not. It will keep on being beauti-ful, even if no one bothers to look at it.”

3 “The morning is not the enemy sent to torture us. It has been de-signed to help us. The morning provides us some quiet time of reflection, so we can improve ourselves.”

QUILT SHOW AND SPRING TEA

The Quilt Show and Spring Tea, originally scheduled for March 16th is postponed until 2020. The Quilt, that I have sold tickets on, will remain in possession of the quilters. If

anyone would like money back, please see me on Tuesdays at coffee hour. Your ticket(s) will be removed from the ticket box and your money refunded. For those who wish to keep their ticket (s) in the box, they will be used for the 2020 show. Thank you to the Quilters for

their support, and thank you to everyone who purchased tickets. I hope everyone will continue to support the Quilters for the 2020 event.

Daylight Saving Time Begins History

Daylight Savings time had begun in an effort to help save energy and provide workers with more hours of serviceable daylight during the long summer days. Daylight Savings Time was first introduced in the U.S. in 1918. However, it was not until 1966, when the Uniform Act was passed, that all states had to either observe DST or pass a state law to abstain

Saint Patrick's Day History

St. Patrick's Day is a celebration of Irish pride and heritage. Saint Patrick was a British-born priest and former slave who is known for converting the Irish to Christianity and chasing the snakes out of the country. He died on March 17, in the year 461 and was mostly forgotten. As time passed, stories grew around St. Patrick and centuries later he was honored with the title of Patron Saint of Ireland. Over the years, big parties and the custom of drowning the shamrock at the end of the celebrations - a shamrock is placed in the bottom of a cup that is then filled with whiskey, cider or beer then drank with a toast - have become increasingly popular all over the world. Every year, on March 17th, this holiday is celebrated around the globe with shamrocks, leprechauns and lots of green.

What 's the meaning of the phrase 'P ipe dream'? A 'pipe dream' is an unrealis-tic hope or fantasy. W ha t ' s th e o r i g i n o f th e p h ra s e ' P i p e d r ea m' ? The phrase 'pipe

dream' is an allusion to the dreams experienced by smokers of opium pipes.

I looked it up and suggest you do the same as it reveals a lot re: where they “thought” the term came from. Here is another thought, A hope or plan being nearly impossible to achieve.

Check it out if your interested. (editor)

throughout the entire summer as well as once a month at another restaurant. They also do these for business/

The Train of Life

At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents, and we believed that they would always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents would step

down from the train, leaving us on life's journey alone.

As time goes by, some significant people will board the train: siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we won't realize that they vacated their seats! This train ride has been a mix-

ture of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.

A successful journey consists of having a good relationship with all passengers, requir-ing that we give the best of ourselves. The mystery that prevails is that we do not

know at which station we ourselves will step down. Thus, we must try to travel along the track of life in the best possible way -- loving, forgiving, giving, and sharing.

When the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty -- we should leave

behind beautiful memories for those who continue to travel on the train of life. Let’s remember to thank our Creator for giving us life to participate in this journey.

I close by thanking you for being one of the passengers on my train!

Club House Sale

The club house sale was a great success selling around $1400. worth of our merchandise. The rest was taken by Sandy Bellefeuille for the homeless , Habitat for Humanity and a

community church in Zephyrhills, they were all very thankful. The activities committee and my self wish to thank all who made this a wonderful event.

All worked together like it was an everyday happening , both men and women, so great to see, since it was my first time chairing this i was really in pressed. Next year anyone of you could chair this, again thank you

so much.

Cheryl

Our pot luck was a great success having around 70 people to celebrate Valentines Day with. Both the Gadabouts and Activity com-mittee did a great job putting this together. Thanks to all who helped. The food, as usual was just great and plenty for all

of us. Hope to do the pot luck or a dinner soon before we head North, anyone with a plan i would like to hear from and we could make it happen.

Cheryl

"Dark House" Program

This is a free program by the Pasco Co. Sheriff's dept. There are a number of volunteers that patrol the park to keep an eye on persons homes that have signed up for the program. It doesn't cost anything to sign-up. Even if you live here year round you can still participate in the program. They check to make sure noth-ing looks suspicious, there are no broken windows and the doors are secured. Once again, it is FREE. To sign-up you can get the form from Sue Lentner.

Safe guard your house while you are gone for the summer by in-stalling motion lights that go on if anyone goes on your prop-

erty.. It does scare anyone at night from breaking in etc.

No one wants to be noticed

In our Hearts

We thought of you with love to-day,

But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday.

And days before that too. We think of you in silence. We often speak your name.

Now all we have is memories. And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake. With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart.

Please remember the families and friends of both of these past residents. God bless they both

& Estella Foster, Bill & Donna Backus. John and Sherla Moore were not able to attend. We are sorry they had to miss it. But if you

missed it be sure to stop by and congratulate each couple on 50 years of marriage. Ray and Sue enjoy a waltz to their favorite tune.
