Teaching materials prepared in image or PDF files can be brought to the SmartClass program for e-
board class.
Pre-scanned materials in image or PDF files can be opened within the program using this function.
Files in words or PPT format also can be used as e-board materials by converting them into PDF files.
Step 1
Prepare the lecture materials (textbook, quiz, etc.) for e-board classes by scanning or converting materials to images.Store image files in one folder.
Name image files in numbers. Ex) 24.jpg, 53.gif, 43.bmp, 14.png
Save files in lecture page numbers for convenience. It will be easier to save similar lecture images in same folder.
Step 2
Execute ‘open image’ or ‘open PDF’ from SmartClass program.Targeted filed can be retrieved by selecting the folder with files.
Execute ‘open image’ function for files stored and scanned in image format and execute ‘open PDF file’ for files stored in PDF format.

Step 3
As many board screens can be created for all the image files (for PDF files) saved in a folder. The board background will be replaced by each image file.
The screen on the right is a captured screenshot a lecture material opened and projected onto an e-board surface.
Step 4
Lecture material projected on the smart board can be edited for a classroom lecture.
Since the lecture material is projected to match the horizontal length of the screen, a section of the vertical length will be shown if the vertical length is longer than the horizontal length.
Rest of the vertical section of the screen can be seen by moving the board screen with the screen move function or scroll bar.

with SmartSticker (sold separately)

textbook pages can be displayed on the board without using ‘previous page’ or ‘next page’ function.
Ordinary textbook can be utilized like an e-Book.
Caution) Advance preparation steps are necessary to connect classroom materials with a Smart
board. Read the application method section before using the function.
2) Connecting classroom materials with Smart board
Step 1
Two preparatory steps are necessary after selecting textbook pages to utilize this function during class.
1) Scan and save textbook or lecture pages in advance. Information on naming image files and folder to save image files are explained on page 13.
2) Place SmartStickers with identical numbers on the lecture materials as the lecture materials.
Caution) SmartSticker numbers can be from 001 to 500 for connection with the lecture materials.
It is not necessary to match SmartStickernumbers of lecture page numbers. However, SmartSticker numbers and image file names must match each other.
Ex) If textbook page 10 was scanned and saved as 20.jpg, the relevant textbook page should have SmartSticker number 20 on it.
SmartSticker numbers should match the page numbers of PDF files.Ex) SmartSticker number 20 corresponds to page 20 of the PDF file.

Smartpen works as an E-pen on customized printed papers (SmartPaper, sold separately).
Several Smartpens can be used simultaneously.
The teacher (lecturer) can proceed the class using Smartboard as with the other e-boards and
students can use Smartpen and SmartPapers to join the class. In other words, interactive class
between the teacher and students can be held with SmartPaper and Smartboard.
Following is a process of problem solving by a student and editing guidance by a teacher during a class.
3) Utilizing interactive class and editing
Step 1
Prepare classroom materials in image files as instructed in ‘open image’.
Print the images on the SmartPaper as many as necessary. Inject printer is recommended for smooth operation of Smartpen.
Step 2
Display image files of your choice using ‘open file’ function.Give Smartpen and question printed page to a student for problem solving.
