All our courses are customer-focussed, starting with pre-course consultancy and ending with a post-course assessment and follow-up. In our initial discussions with you we establish the specific training needs of your employees and help you select the most suitable training option. We work in partnership with you to deliver English language training which is not only interactive and engaging but also results-driven.
The SLS Profiler is part of the way we work We understand that you want to be able to track the results of your training investment so we have developed the SLS Profiler to show the value added by our one-to-one courses.
The SLS Profiler helps to ensure that the course is participant-driven. It facilitates a clear understanding of the participant’s precise training needs and enables us to deliver a tailored course to meet those needs.
How the SLS Profiler works Participants are asked to give their own assessment of how effectively they feel they perform in their job in English at the start of the course, how they feel at the end of the course and again three months after their SLS course has been completed.
The SLS profiler is at the heart of what we do and enables you to see the added value that we bring throughout the training experience.

SLS Premier courses are an excellent way to learn, with intensive, one-to-one training totally focused on individual business objectives.These courses achieve excellent results with participants frequently giving the maximum overall score on their course evaluations. The focus is entirely on the specific language needs of the individual participant with the opportunity to practise English in situations they typically have to deal with. That’s why we encourage participants to bring to SLS examples of work-related tasks such as a presentation, a project plan, or an agenda for a meeting.
Our specially-designed group courses offer an alternative to one-to-one training. These courses also score highly in course evaluations. Based on realistic business situations, they provide an ideal environment for participants to develop their business English.

BUSINESS SKILLS & ENGLISH
Some of our clients have requested training to combine communication skills with English language support. Based on this development, SLS is now offering Business Skills & English. These are group courses that focus on essential business communication skills but include a specialist English component. These two-day courses take a practical, interactive approach and can be delivered in company. If you can’t find the course you are looking for from the ones offered below, please talk to us. We are able to design and deliver Business Skills & English courses to meet your specific requirements.

SLS EXECUTIVE TRAINING CENTRE
Our dedicated training centre provides a friendly and professional atmosphere in which to develop your English language skills. Our instructors combine the latest technology including net meeting facilities and Internet access - with proven training methodology to provide high impact courses.
The centre has areas for relaxation, with refreshments in our comfortable lounge. Break times are ideal opportunities to practise English conversation with other participants and instructors. We also provide a range of English language newspapers - it’s all part of the learning experience and one that we are sure you will enjoy!
WHERE TO STAY IN YORK
Participants often prefer to stay with one of our executive host families where they will experience the benefits of home cooking and a comfortable environment with plenty of opportunities to speak English. Accommodation includes breakfast and evening meal on weekdays with full board at weekends, plus transport to and from our Executive Training Centre each day. Please note that accommodation is not included in the course price.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO
York is a fantastic place to visit, full of history and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
We make the experience of learning English at SLS as enjoyable as possible and we believe that having fun is part of the learning experience! At SLS we arrange optional evening and weekend activities to show our participants the sights and give them opportunities to socialise. We aim to cater for all tastes and our activities include river walks, ghost walks, theatre trips, pub evenings, bowling and tours of York’s world-famous Minster.
GETTING TO YORK FROM ALL UK AIRPORTSWe can arrange for a taxi to meet participants at their arrival destination in the UK to take them to their accommodation in York.
If preferred, we can arrange hotel accommodation. We are able to recommend a number of hotels in York which can accommodate for most budgets. Cost of transport between your hotel and SLS is not included but can be arranged on request.
