Slow down music using Windows Media Player

Slow down (or speed up) your music files in Windows Media Player

Step 1: Open the file

Open Windows Media Player and open the file of the piece ofmusic you want to slow down or speed up

Step 1: Open the Play Speed Setting control window

Go to the View menu. Then select Enhancementsand Play Speed Settings.

Step 2: Alter tempo

Cliick on Slow or Fast, or move the slider to set theexact speed you want. Unfortunately WIndows Mediaplayer doesn't save this setting with the file so youwill have to set it each time you want to slow thepiece down, If you want to save the file at the newspeed you need extra software.
