On an adventure,

out with New Jersey’s female

artist Lady Phenom, the clouds

were gray and hanging low. A

definite frizzy-hair, sweat pants

and a glass of wine day. Rain

wasn’t getting in our way,

though.

Hauling up the Staten Island

Bridge, I fumble in the backseat

preparing lipstick, my camera

and slipping my heels on. Heels

always make a photographer

look sexier.

We find a park, hop out the

car and post up outside this

dainty, well-furnished restau-

rant. Light blue paint chips

hung from the restaurant walls,

looking like the century old

work of art would collapse as

we awaited a phone call to be

let in. We were attended

video shoot for rapper Hanz

On featuring the legendary

A doorman greeted us at the door

and we travel up a wide, steep stair-

case. The top of the stairs led to an

opening. Floral-colored tables filled

the space; there was a foyer to the

right hand side, an outside patio on

the left, and a library containing lots

of books, toward the back of the

room.

People were everywhere, mixing

and mingling. Girls were prepping

their makeup for the camera, and

the camera crew was busy setting

up all their equipment. Outside on

the patio individuals were network-

ing, laughing and discussing prior

business ventures.

Once Hanz On got into character,

Method Man then came onto the

set, accompanied by his son. Every-

one grew anxious as they waiting

patiently for Method Man to receive

a haircut in the library.

It felt like, seconds, and minutes,

even hours was flying by as every-

one could hear the clippers buzz-

ing away at Method Man’s head.

Finally, once he was freshened

up, Method Man step out of the

library and straight onto set,

ready to rap his verse in Hanz

On’s song.

Method Man laid down his verse

like a pro, no do overs. A break in

between scenes, Method Man

and Hanz On joined a swarm of

cameras and fans, to sign auto-

graphs, talk into their cameras

and just be great sports about the

whole get together. Once the last

scene of the night was finalized,

the camera crew packed up and

left the dainty, old-fashioned res-

taurant to artists and fans to

party!

A night of huge success for Hanz

On, for this would be the pre-

miere of his music career, and

what better than to start it off

with Method Man?

Perfect Smokey Eye

First off, make sure the skin is freshly cleansed and dried. Some people start off by going over the eyelids with a

foundation. Makes the makeup stick better, looking more precise.

Secondly, it’s a good idea to blend together a light-soft base color with a rich dark shade. Take a light shadow

and sweep on, over the eyelid, to the brow bone.

Third, grab a darker shade of shadow, preferably anything past a brown shade. Start in the outer

crease between the brow bone and eyelid and sweep up, around the crease.

*The Key to the Smokey eye is perfect blending. There should be a con-

trast between the 2 shades now. Grab a blending brush and blend the

shades, tapping and dabbing, back and forth across the line of contrast.

Add lighter or darker shade again if needed. Make sure both eyes are

blended evenly.

Last, Mascara can be added to bring out a more seductive appeal.

Some people don't understand each other because they can't grasp the concept
