When to donate skin ?A person can donate skin within 6 hours of his deathAny 1 can donate skin irrespective of sex and blood groupBut lower limit of age is 18 years and there is no upper limitCertain contra-indications have to be taken care of:Person suffering from AIDS, Hepatitis B,C, Skin cancer, other skin diseases Blood sample is taken for blood tests to check for viral markers in skin bank.

Skin is transferred to 85% glycerol & stored at 4 °C in walk in fridge
