APRIL Dear Tiger Parents: Happy Friday! We are ending the week in exciting fashion! We have our SPED Olympics Track meet followed by the district track meet this evening. Go TIGERS! Both meets will be at Ron Poe Stadium. Come out and support our Tigers. Remember, the major part of our STAAR testing season is the week of April 20th. See the detailed list below. These are important testing dates we use to evaluate future classes, summer school, and/or academic acceleration as needed. So, please ensure your child is at school and gets plenty of rest the night before their test(s). Additionally, eating before the test and bringing a snack for the test is very important.

Enjoy the spring weather and have a great weekend! Mitchell Curry

    MISD Supports Anti-Bullying Initiatives

McKinney ISD is in full support of the anti-bullying rallies taking place today and tomorrow. We are adamantly opposed to bullying in all McKinney ISD schools. The District has investigated this matter extensively, including interviews with counselors, staff and students. While we have not identified any reports of bullying preceding this loss, we will continue to work diligently in search of information or signs that could have helped to prevent such a tragedy. We must not lose sight of the fact that a student lost his life, and we must all ask ourselves

what we can do to prevent tragedies of this nature from occurring in the future. The Parents Against Bullying are raising awareness on the topic of respecting one another, and that's a message that we believe needs to be reinforced at school, at home, and throughout our community. We are blessed to live in a community that cares so deeply for its children, and we are committed to continuing dialogue on this issue and taking necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of all McKinney ISD students.
