APRIL Dear Tiger Parents: Happy Friday! We are ending the week in exciting fashion! We have our SPED Olympics Track meetfollowed by the district track meet thisevening. Go TIGERS! Both meets will be at Ron Poe Stadium. Come outand support our Tigers. Remember, the major part of our STAAR testing season is the week ofApril 20th. See the detailed list below. These are important testingdates we use to evaluate future classes, summer school, and/or academicacceleration as needed. So, please ensure your child is at school andgets plenty of rest the night before their test(s). Additionally, eating beforethe test and bringing a snack for the test is very important.

MISD Supports Anti-Bullying Initiatives
McKinney ISD is in full support of the anti-bullyingrallies taking place today and tomorrow. We areadamantly opposed to bullying in all McKinney ISDschools. The District has investigated this matterextensively, including interviews with counselors,staff and students. While we have not identifiedany reports of bullying preceding this loss, we willcontinue to work diligently in search of informationor signs that could have helped to prevent such atragedy. We must not lose sight of the fact that astudent lost his life, and we must all ask ourselves
what we can do to prevent tragedies of this nature from occurring in thefuture. The Parents Against Bullying are raising awareness on the topic ofrespecting one another, and that's a message that we believe needs to bereinforced at school, at home, and throughout our community. We areblessed to live in a community that cares so deeply for its children, and weare committed to continuing dialogue on this issue and taking necessarymeasures to ensure the safety and security of all McKinney ISD students. MISD Physical Exams for 2015 - 2016 School Year
Students participating in McKinney ISDathletics are REQUIRED to have ayearly physical prior to participation intryouts, practices, and games. Physicalsmust be on or After April 1, 2015 forparticipation in athletics for the 2015-2016 school year. Physicals must becompleted on the official MISD physicalform. ECG: Electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings will be available at MHS orNorth for an additional charge of $15. *No ECG's available at Boyd -Students may go to MHS or North. Attire: Shorts & T-shirtsFemales (Sports Bra) Forms: Physical forms are GREY. The forms for McKinney ISD Physicalswill only be available through the secondary campuses and the athleticwebsite after spring break. The form can be found by clicking here, after

Running of theBulldogs - 5k/1 Mile
Run
The McKinney NorthCross Country and
Track team issponsoring a 5k and 1mile run on Saturday,April 11, 2015. The
proceeds of this eventwill provide
scholarships for CrossCountry and Track
athletes. Manymembers of the teams
are Scott Johnsonalumni.
You can participate byrunning or letting yourkids run. Registration

F.O.R. Club - Pet Food Drive!!
The F.O.R. Club is sponsoring a Pet FoodDrive that benefits the Collin CountyAnimal Shelter! Items needed most is soft(pate) canned dog and cat food. It iseasier for the puppies and kittens to eatand is better for the sick animals digestivesystems. However, they are grateful forany and all donations!! The drive will continue until April 17th
(Friday). If you'd like to participate, please bring your contribution to theFront Office!
Buddy Picture Day!! April 16th During Lunch!!
Buddy Pics will be April 16th during grade levellunches. Get your friends together and plan apicture! Order forms will be passed out in ELAR soplease take them home. Money is due on pictureday. Prices start at $10 per one 8 x 10!

SJMS Symphonic 2 UIL Results - Congratulations!!!
Yesterday, the Symphonic 2 Bandtravelled to McKinney Boyd High Schoolto perform the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest. The students receivedsuperior ratings for both their stageperformance and sight-readingperformance! They brought home aSweepstakes trophy for the 2ndconsecutive year. This is a huge
accomplishment and Ms. Pavlasek and Mr. Stephens couldn't be moreproud of these students. Congratulations Symphonic 2!!
