Two solid digestive organs, the liver and the pancreas, produce digestive juices

that reach the intestine through small tubes called ducts. The gallbladder stores the

liver's digestive juices until they are needed in the intestine. Parts of the nervous

and circulatory systems also play major roles in the digestive system.

    The digestive system.

Why is digestion important? When you eat foodssuch as bread, meat, and vegetablesthey are not in a form

that the body can use as nourishment. Food and drink must be changed into

smaller molecules of nutrients before they can be absorbed into the blood and

carried to cells throughout the body. Digestion is the process by which food and

drink are broken down into their smallest parts so the body can use them to build

and nourish cells and to provide energy.

    How is food digested?

Digestion involves mixing food with digestive juices, moving it through the digestive

tract, and breaking down large molecules of food into smaller molecules. Digestion

begins in the mouth, when you chew and swallow, and is completed in the small

    intestine.

Respiratory SystemThe cells of the human body require a constant stream of oxygen to stay alive. Therespiratory system provides oxygen to the bodys cells while removing carbondioxide, a waste product that can be lethal if allowed to accumulate. There are 3major parts of the respiratory system: the airway, the lungs, and the muscles ofrespiration. The airway, which includes the nose, mouth, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles, carries air between the lungs and the bodys exterior. The lungs act as the functional units of the respiratory system by passing oxygeninto the body and carbon dioxide out of the body. Finally, the muscles ofrespiration, including the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, work together to actas a pump, pushing air into and out of the lungs during breathing.

    Circulatory system:

The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, blood vessels, and the

approximately 5 liters of blood that the blood vessels transport. Responsible for

transporting oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and cellular waste products throughout

the body, the cardiovascular system is powered by the bodys hardest-working

organ the heart, which is only about the size of a closed fist. Even at rest, the

average heart easily pumps over 5 liters of blood throughout the body every

    minute....

The muscular system is an organ systemconsisting

ofskeletal, smooth and cardiacmuscles. It permits movement of the body,

maintains posture, and circulates blood throughout the body. The muscular system

in vertebrates is controlled through thenervous system, although some muscles

(such as the cardiac muscle) can be completely autonomous.

There are three distinct types of muscles: skeletal muscles, cardiac or heartmuscles, and smooth (non-striated) muscles. Muscles provide strength, balance,

posture, movement and heat for the body to keep warm.

Addition is the mathematical operation of combining or adding two numbers toobtain an equal simple amount or total. Addition also provides a model for relatedprocesses such as joining two collections of objects into one collection. Repeatedaddition of the numberone is the most basic form ofcounting.

SUBTRACTION It is one of the four basic arithmetic operations; it is the inverse ofaddition, meaning that if we start with any number and add any number and thensubtract the same number we added, we return to the number we started with..Subtraction is denoted by a minus signin infix notation. The traditional names forthe parts of the formula:
