Grades of Maple

FIRST GRADE

SECOND & BETTER

THIRD GRADE

First grade maple is light in

color and uniform in

appearance.

Third grade maple has

some color differentiation

with knots and mineral

stains.

Second and better grade is

somewhere in between first

and third, and is the most

common choice.

CHAPTER 3: CERTIFICATION

Horner Flooring is a founding member of the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association, which means we only provide quality maple hardwood flooring.

Horner Flooring also has FIBA documentation. FIBA is the world governing body for basketball and FIBA sets the specifications for equipment and facilities.
