    Quick station setupWith the simple station setup, the distributed peripherals make the most of the available space. The maximum configuration comprises 64 modules, i.e. 64 x 16 signals all in a width of only one meter. Both the modules and the plug boxes can be exchanged during operation. The mechanical coding of I/O modules with the base unit prevents module con-fusion during assembly. This ensures the prevention of faults.

    The new design and push-in clamps make wiring and disconnection of cables easier than ever. You dont need any tools for wiring and just a screwdriver for disconnecting the cables. The connections are gas-tight and thus corrosion-resistant.

    Reliable diagnosticsSIMATIC ET 200SP continuously provides users with detailed information about the system status via channel-specific signal transfer on the I/O module. No additional engineering is necessary for this. Further diagnostic information can be read out with the SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.5 or SIMATIC STEP 7 V11 (TIA Portal) engineering system. Signals can be checked directly at the clamps using a measuring probe.

    Effective footprintSIMATIC ET 200SP is approximately 50% smaller compared to other distributed I/Os. With a height of approx. 115 millimeters, the system offers space for 16 channels with single-conductor connection (without AUX terminals). With 3-conductor connection with AUX terminals, the height amounts to 140 millimeters for 8 channels. The depth is approx. 75 millimeters. Leaving sufficient distance to the control cabinet door, SIMATIC ET 200SP complies with the standardized bending radii in control cabinets with a depth of 80 millimeters.

    CPU 1510SP-1PN, CPU 1512SP-1PN, and CPU 1515SP PCHeader modules with integrated controller and PROFINET connection are available for the SIMATIC ET 200SP. With the three integrated Ethernet ports, the connection systems can be flexibly selected by means of bus adapters. These CPUs feature the same functionalities as the CPU 1511 and CPU 1513, such as integrated trace function, Web server and fully symbolic programming. Connection to a higher-level CPU can be made in exactly the same way thanks to the I-Device functionality. A PC system is available additionally in the form of the CPU 1515SP PC.

    Pulse width modulation (DQ 4x24VDC/2A HS)In this operating mode, the four outputs provide a pulse width modulated output signal. The digital channel is con-trolled with a mark-space ratio of 0.0% to 100.0%. The actuating signal is output digitally in the form of a sequence of on/off switching pulses.

    Counting (DI 8x24VDC HS)Four channels are available in the counting mode for the connection of pulse generators with a counting width of 32 bits and a maximum frequency of 10 kHz. Comprehen-sive parameterization options make it possible to adjust to the application.

    Valve control (DQ 4x24VDC/2A HS)A special valve control function is integrated in the DQ operating mode. This switches on the output for a pre-settable hold time when a 1-signal is output, after which it changes over to a pulse/pause output with adjus-table frequency and duty cycle.

MSO allows an output module to make the status of its output data available to a maximum of 3 additional I/O controllers (DQ 8x24VDC/0,5A HF, DQ 4x24VDC/2A HF).

    Oversampling (DI 8x24VDC HS, DQ 4x24VDC/2A HS, AI 2xU/I 2-/4-wire HS, AQ 2xU/I HS)Oversampling offers the user the option of recording two to n measured values synchronized with the clock and at constantly equal intervals within a PROFINET transmit clock pulse in the peripheral module. All n recorded measured values are subsequently transmitted to the PROFINET controller in chronological order. An important advantage of oversampling is that a fast CPU cycle is not required for recording measured values with high time resolution.

    New connection optionsThe new interface module IM 155-6 PN Basic offers a cost-optimized solution for small station expansions. It has 2 integrated PROFINET IO ports with RJ45 connection.The new bus adapters BA SCR/RJ45 and BA SCR/FC allow the system-integrated transition of the PROFINET connection from fiber-optic cable to copper cable. In this way, distances of up to 300 meters between two stations can easily be bridged.
