q Incorporated in 1979 by renowned Bangur family based out of Kolkata

q Set-up first Cement Plant in 1985 with installed capacity of 0.6 Mtpa. Today Total Cement Capacity of the Company is 29.30 Million ton

q Came out with a Public Issue in the year 1984. Listed on National Stock Exchange (“NSE”) and Bombay Stock Exchange (“BSE”)

q Entered in power business with first Captive Power Plant of 36 MW in 2003. Today, total Power Capacity is 607 MW.

q Total market capitalization of Rs. 64,382 Cr. as on 12th July, 2017 and ranked at 45 th position among all listed companies in India.

q Total no of employees in 1985 were around 100. Total No. of Employees as on 31st March, 2017 were 5411.

q 2016: 2.0 MTPA Cement GU at Bulandshahr

q 2017: Expansion Project of GU at Aurangabad in Bihar completed which increased its capacity to 3.6 MTPA from 2.0 MTPA.

q 2017: De-bottlenecking and productivity enhancment initiatives at various units let to increase in Clinker capacity from 15.0 MTPA to 16.80 MTPA and Cement capacity from 27.2 to 29.3 MTPA.
