Seal selection

The chemical compounds are listed in alphabetical order.

If not otherwise specified, the temperatures are ambient temperatures.

Contact us if you need recommendations for chemicals or compounds not listed.

DO NOT ASSUME THAT THE SAME SEAL CAN BE USED FOR AN APPLICATION THAT IS

SIMILAR TO ONE LISTED IN THE TABLE.

The data and recommendations provided are based on the best information available to us

from our practical experience and from the lab tests conducted by Victaulic.

The recommendations from the largest manufacturers of copolymer raw materials as well

as information made available to us from the leading formers of rubber products

are also provided. The information provided in this guide is of a general nature and should

only be used with full knowledge of this fact. For unusual, critical, or difficult applications,

you should supply us with all available information.

Wherever possible, the material should be subject to simulated conditions corresponding to

the real usage conditions in order to determine their suitability for the intended application.

Furthermore, you should never assume that a seal that is not adversely affected by a number

of different substances will also not react to a combination of these substances.

Explosive, flammable, and toxic fluids should be handed with care.

All seal recommendations are based on the pressure and temperature limits published by Victaulic.

You should always contact us when in doubt.

If there are two seals listed in the Seal Class column, then both seals are suitable for the

specified application under normal circumstances.
