Education:

• Graduated from Brenau University with a Masters in Early Childhood Education.

• This is my ninth year of teaching – 7 years at Alford Elementary School; 1 year at Shiloh Elementary School (2 years in second grade and 6 in third grade).

• I was born and raised in Florida.

• I moved to Georgia 17 years ago. My husband and I currently live in Snellville Georgia. My children went to school in the Shiloh cluster.

• I have 3 children: Trevor, Jason, and Rachel

• Progress Report Card will be sent home at the end of every quarter’s grading period. The envelope must be signed and returned.

• Grades can be checked through the parent or student portal.

Conduct and Work Habits

•Assessed weekly and recorded in the weekly folder.

•At the end of each quarter’s grading period, overall conduct and work habits are reviewed by the teacher and a grade will be determined.

•Establish a homework routine with your child.

•Completing homework is your child’s responsibility.

•Check your child’s work for completion every day.

•Review and study for tests withyour child.

•Visitors are welcome. Students may eat lunch at a special table with you and with one friend. No fast food or soft drinks.

• Lunch time: 10:55-11:20

•You may prepay for lunches with a check, cash, or online at www.mealpay.com

•Ice Cream is available for $1.00 and students should pay for it in the morning.•Students may also bring a healthysnack from home. No cookies, cakes, or chips. Water bottles only please.

Absences and Make-up Work

Send in a signed note explaining why your child was absent. No note will result in an unexcused absence.

A child missing a day of school due to an excused absence, may complete assignments when they return to school.

If your child is absent two or more days due to an excused absence:

-Missed work may be picked up and completed at home. Please call the school office first thing in the morning to make arrangements to pick up assignments and materials after school.

Please refer to your student/parent handbook for what is considered an “excused absence.”
