Purpose of Document This document will guide the user on how to perform parameter maintenance, specific to Customer settings and fields which are meaningful to the financial institution.

Parameters Maintenance User Permissions and Security The Compass XD™ Administrator should review permission level records to enable users to have access to the Parameters Maintenance functionality.

From the Admin Console – XD Permissions module, select the Edit Icon next to the user’s name or role.

Expand the Role Permissions accordion.

Expand the Parameter Maintenance record to view permission options available for Parameter Maintenance for the user or role.

Reminder: Editing the role will change permissions for all users within the role.

Note: This document will specifically define and explain parameters related to the Customer module.

Adding Parameter Maintenance as a Menu Option When adding the Parameter Maintenance module to the menu in the role for the first time, expand the Menu tab from the Roles Edit Form.

Select the Parameters Maintenance module and drag and drop into the Selected column.

Select Submit to save. The user must log out and log back in to view saved changes.

Parameters Maintenance (Customers)

CSBSAA Bank Secrecy Threshold Amount This parameter allows administrators to define the amount of the large cash threshold desired for reporting governed by the Bank Secrecy Act. The FDIC regulation states that multiple currency transactions shall be treated as a single transaction if the financial institution has knowledge that they are by or on behalf of any person and result in either cash in or cash out totaling more than $10,000.00 during a single business day.

This program must correlate with parameters within the financial institution’s proof of deposit system.

The name of this program is CS1129.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSBSAA Bank Secrecy Threshold Amount file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSBSAA Bank Secrecy Threshold Amount from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Bank Secrecy Threshold Amount form will populate with the ability to be edited.

CSCBNK CIS Combining Banks This parameter file holds the name of the banks and their associated data libraries which are eligible to have common CIS records combined into a central file. If the financial institution has not been entered into this file, then they are not available for the selection of banks to combine.

The system requires the name of the library where the data files are kept in order to locate all of the banks’ CIS files. If there is not a holding company or the processing is of a single bank, that banks’ name and data library should be entered in this file.

The name of this program is CS1185.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSCBNK CIS Combining Banks file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSCBNK CIS Combining Banks from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Bank Data Library and Bank Name will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARG Flat Statement Image Parameters This parameter file allows administrators to manage image settings specific to individual accounts. Administrators can define specific fields to affect the appearance of a statement that the customer will receive.

The name of this program is CS1117.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARG Flat Statement Image Parameters file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARG Flat Statement Image Parameters from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Account Number, Account Type, Non-Image Statement, Images Per Page, Debits Front/Back and Credits Front/Back fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARII Statement Image Parameter File – Open This parameter file allows administrators to control the configurations that are sent to a third party POD vendor regarding statement specifications.

The name of this program is CS1137.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARII Statement Image Parameter File (Open), select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARII Statement Image Parameter File from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Image Form Code and Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARI Statement Image Parameter File Similar to CSPARII, this parameter file allows administrators to control the configurations that are sent to a third party POD vendor regarding statement specifications.

The name of this program is CS1131.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARI Statement Image Parameter File, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARI Statement Image Parameter File from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Statement Form Code and Image Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARL CIS Message Severity Code Parameter File This parameter allows administrators to define a message severity scheme based on the financial institution’s specific needs. An order can be defined so that if a user can view different types of messages, they can be displayed based on the value of the Display Order field.

The name of this program is CS1103.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARL CIS Message Severity Code Parameter File, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARL CIS Message Severity Code Parameter File from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Severity Code, Text, Severity Level, Display Order and Display Color fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

Note: Display Color functionality is reserved for future Compass XD development.

CSPARN Notice Application Codes This parameter file defines the applications that use specific notices. This file is used to provide a list of notices from which individual notices can be prevented from being sent to a customer.

The name of this program is CS1830.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARN Notice Application Codes, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARN Notice Application Codes from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Notice Name, Description and Application Codes fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARQ Customer Inquiry Code Parameter This parameter file allows administrators to create and control inquiry codes, which are used when defining security levels on an account.

The name of this program is CS1220.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARQ Customer Inquiry Code Parameter file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARQ Customer Inquiry Code Parameters from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Inquiry Code and Inquiry Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARR Relationship Code Relationship Codes have two purposes within the SHAZAM Core system. The primary purpose defines the relationship among customers and their accounts and also defines relationships among customers. The secondary purpose is to establish a customer’s liability to an account.

Examples:

A relationship code which could be used to indicate a direct liability might be:

• MAIN (Main Owner) • COSIG (Cosigner) • JTWRS (Joint Tenants with Rights of Survivorship)

A relationship code which might be used to indicate an indirect liability might be:

• ENDOR (Indicates endorses)

A relationship code which might be used where liability is not an issue might be:

• FAMLY (Family member) • HOUSE (Household member) • INFLU (Influencer on account)

Every account must have one customer attached to it who is considered the main owner of the account. This is the customer record that will be used in tax reporting to the Internal Revenue Service. There is a field for each relationship code to designate which of the codes is defined as the main owner.

The name of this program is CS1110.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARR Relationship Codes file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARR Relationship Codes from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Relationship Code, Short Description, Relationship Type, Main Relationship and Full Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARS Statement Form Codes This parameter file defines several factors affecting the appearance for the statement sent to the customer. A statement form code is entered for every account receiving a statement so that parameters can be defined to print statements differently for various types of accounts. If an account does not have a valid statement form code then a default statement form code of DFT is used.

The factors involved include:

• Options for printing Reg DD disclosures • Interest Rates • Rate Changes • Related CIS Names on the Statement • Weight determination of statement based on number of items • Specified formats to produce a statement different than the main customer statement

The name of this program is CS1130.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARS Statement Form Codes file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARS Statement Form Codes from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Statement Form Code and Statement Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARV Label Selection Parameters This parameter file will allow administrators to add label types and settings to be used when printing laser printer labels.

If additional assistance is needed with creating or generating labels, contact SHAZAM Core Support at (800) 537-5427, option 8.

The name of this program is CS1833.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARV Label Selection Parameters file, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARV Label Selection Parameters from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Label Name and Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSPARZ Security Questions Parameter File This parameter file contains bank-defined codes used to identify security questions.

The name of this program is CS1109.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSPARZ Security Questions Parameter File, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSPARZ Security Questions Parameter File from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Security Question Code and Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.

CSREDF Red Flag Parameter File This parameter allows administrators to define identity theft red flags to comply with the FACT Act Identify Theft Red Flags Rule.

These codes can be used in the new account entry and maintenance programs and viewed in the inquiry program.

The name of this program is CS1126.

To view or edit parameter settings within the CSREDF Red Flag Parameter File, select Customer from the Module menu drop-down and select CSREDF Red Flag Parameter File from the Parameter File menu drop-down.

Select Submit. The Red Flag Code and Red Flag Description fields will populate with the ability to add, edit, delete or copy.
