Sharing Young Living With Friends and Family **CANADIAN adaptation of the Vicki Opfer's Sharing Script.

Introduction: How to use this script most effectively Young Living Canada launched on March 16, 2013, with Young Living Canadian Registered products. All Canadian Young Living members will continue to have access to the full United States (Not for resale NFR) products that are not currently available in the Canadian registered product line. As orders for the USA (NFR) products need to be placed as a separate order from the Canadian registered products we recommend that at an introductory meeting you make reference to only the Canadian registered products so the enrollment and order process is less complicated. We recommend a follow up meeting with any new YL members where you can then introduce them to the FULL Young Living product line and provide them with a US Product Guide. I have adapted this script to make reference to the Canadian registered products only. Young Living plans to expand the Canadian registered product line approximately every 6 months. Unlike the recommendations we naturally make every day, when you recommend Young Living products, you earn income EVERY month! If people choose not to embrace your recommendations, no big deal. If someone decides not to go to a restaurant you recommended because they do not like Mexican food, you do not take it personally. Treat Young Living the same way.

Sit in a circle and read the script (so others can see how easy it is to duplicate this), and if anyone asks about a specific condition always refer to a reference book for the answer EVEN if you know the answer. Your guests can see that even they can look up answers in a book! Where possible focus on the products available in the Canadian market when reading your answer. This script highlights the Everyday Oils kit. The Introduction to Everyday Essentials booklet is an excellent resource. This booklet comes with the 9 Everyday oil kit and can be purchased from Young Living Item #4921 for 25 pack for $12.00 USD. It is a good item to give to those attending your home gathering. It is ideal to have a Start Kit on display or a handout that outlines the contents of the 2 Canadian Start kit options (located at end of this document).

Home Sharing Script focusing on Canadian Young Living products

Welcome to our "health and wellness" home gathering. During this meeting you will learn ways to help prevent or solve health challenges, using scientifically proven, UNIQUE, natural, non toxic products. “The essential oils we are sharing with you today, are in a special collection called the Everyday Oils Kit. These are some of our favorite oils, which we use every single day, so it's a great kit to get started with. This kit is a MUST have in your home, since these oils address over 90% of the physical and emotional challenges we face each day! This is your all-natural and 100% safe medicine cabinet!” While you are listening to this presentation, the names of friends and family who can benefit from this information, will pop into your head. Use the pen and paper provided to jot their names down. In Young Living we like to "pay it forward", by sharing information that can help others solve their problems. So lets get acquainted with each other. We will go around the circle and have you share with us your name and any challenge you would like to find a solution to............(this gives you an idea of how to adapt your presentation to address the needs of your group!) Historically, the use of plants has been linked to the wellness of man since the beginning of time. Our forefathers used plants for medicine, beauty, emotional support, embalming, and many recipes used essential oils for healing. Essential oils are mentioned in the Bible: Frankincense and myrrh were brought to the Christ child. Frankincense has been called "The King of All Oils." It is heavily researched and results are confirming that it has anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, anti-cancer, and pain relieving properties. Frankincense supports a healthy immune system and enhances brain function." Does anyone have a Frankincense story they would like to share? (Have your own story ready in case no one has one to share. Pass around Frankincense oil.) Is anyone here experiencing pain right now? Where is your pain? On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst pain, what level is your pain at now? Feel free to apply a drop of Frankincense, or any of the oils we will be passing around to any painful area, and let us know if you notice any changes in your pain. (Check back with them at the end of the meeting to see whether the pain level has changed.) The Thieves line of products has a very interesting story behind it. In the 14th and 15th centuries, a great plague ravaged Europe and millions of

people died. A group of people were able to walk among the dead and dying and steal from them. When they were caught and brought to the king, they told him they were spice merchants, trapped in the city because of the plague. They had run out of money, and had resorted to stealing. They knew that they would be immune from the plague by anointing themselves with herbs and spices. The king had their recipe posted throughout the lands to help his people avoid the plague. Young Living developed an essential oil blend based on their recipe and named it “Thieves” There is a whole product line based on this blend, which has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-parasitic properties. With the many super bugs and viruses in our world today, I think everyone would want to have Thieves oil in their home to help protect them and their family from these dangerous infections!

Essential oils are what plants developed to keep from being infected from outside

sources. They are the immune system and protective system of plants. We can harness these essential oil properties to help repair and protect our body. Unfortunately, when plants are dried, 95-97% of their essential oil is lost. By using essential oils, we are getting the complete chemical profile in every drop, and they are more effective and powerful than dried herbs. There are thousands of different kinds of molecules in plant oils. Each one has health benefits! There is a molecule called limonene which is found in all the citrus oils, and there are over 50 independent research studies showing it has the ability to not only inhibit cancer, but also to regress it! Isn't that amazing? All citrus oils are high in Limonene. Share your lemon oil. Tell the group how you use lemon oil. Since essential oils are plant concentrates, a little goes a long way. One drop of peppermint oil is equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea. Share Peppermint oil. Essential oils have anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory properties and support the immune system. The molecules in the oils mimic the molecules that your body uses for repair and regeneration. Essential oils are natural and they are NON TOXIC. You are likely asking yourself, where do we get essential oils? “Young Living essential oils are steam distilled from plants, by putting plant material into a large stainless steel cylinder, and running steam up from the bottom. These distilleries can be as large as 20 feet tall and eight feet across, filled with plant material such as German chamomile. How much oil do you think you would get from distilling this much of this plant material? You get somewhere between ¼ of a cup and ½ of a cup of essential oil!”

(If you have them, hold up a ¼ cup and ½ cup measuring cups. Put 1-2 of your bottles of oil into one of the cups to demonstrate what a small quantity of oil comes out of each distillation.) “Oils from plants with lower yields are more expensive than those that have higher yields. The small 5ml bottles of essential oils contain about 100 drops, and the 15ml bottles contain about 300 drops depending on the type of oil, and since we use only a few drops at a time, ALL essential oils are actually very economical!” Lavender and Peppermint are some of the most powerful and economical. Share Lavender oil. Now we all know that purity is really important. It determines the effectiveness and dependability of the oils. Most essential oils, even those found in health food stores, may be synthetic, adulterated (that means something has been added or taken away), or diluted, and can be toxic to us and trigger allergic reactions or headaches. Pure authentic steam distilled essential oils do not cause allergic reactions, so someone can be allergic to a

lavender plant but is able to use Young Living Lavender essential oil. I always thought that was kind of cool! “Young Living is dedicated to having the highest quality essential oils in the world and has been in business for 20 years. These are the only oils we use in our family, because we know that they are pure, safe, and effective! In the USA, over 150 hospitals are using Young Living oils for patient and staff care. A vast majority of medical research into oils, use only one brand of oils – Young Living. Dr Lin, Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, tested many brands of Frankincense and only Young Living Frankincense was of high enough quality to be used in his cancer research. This speaks volumes as to the quality of Young Living oils!

Another cool fact is that Young Living is the only essential oil company in the world that controls the entire process from Seed to Seal® and owns its own organic farms in four countries. (Aside: if asked they are USA, Ecuador, France and Oman) They choose the seed, have control over the growing and harvesting process, distill the plant material in the optimal way, and bottle and sell the final product. With this type of control, you are assured of an exceptional product! I can tell you are all thinking, but how would I go about using essential oils for myself and my family. Well it is incredibly simple. You can put them on your body, smell them, take them internally as a supplement, and put them in your bath water in Epsom salts. You can cook, clean, and sanitize with them. You can add a couple of drops of lemon oil to your drinking water and it tastes like you have freshly squeezed lemons in your water. So many of you may be asking, Why would I want to use essential oils when there are other things on the market that seem to work? Well it is interesting to note that essential oils, for some people, actually work better than most "over the counter" alternatives AND SAVE you money at the same time. You can prevent and treat health challenges with powerful, effective natural products that have no side effects and are pleasant to use. Knowing this, why wouldn't everyone want to use these products? The Everyday Oils Kit is ideal for getting started. You can use Peace and Calming to reduce stress &, PanAway to reduce pain.
