On this wonderful album, excellent musicianship doesn’t get in
the way of agood time.Here, Boom, Belgium, based singer and
guitarist Tim Ielegems takes someoriginal ideas and applies them to
the sounds of traditional blues. This twelve-song adventure of
mostly lelegems' originals was produced by none other thanJames
Harman. He blows harp on three of the album's twelve tracks and
evencontributes an original song to the proceedings, Icepick’s
ShakedownTh’owdown. Gene Taylor plays piano on six tracks on this
brand-new RhythmBomb Records release. Along with the terrific
guitar playing of Ielegems, thetenor and baritone sax of Bart Stone
adds a wonderful sonic dynamic to thisalbum. Shakedown’s Th’owdown
is a potent cocktail of vintage cool.
2019 starts with a tour in Los Angeles! In spring ShakedownTim
will play some cool festivals in Germany...
It’s a new year and Shakedown Tim is playing with a newall star
line-up. Tim’s long time pall and piano player extra-
ordinaire Ilias Scotch is ticklin’ the ivories. Jack Fire aka
Jack ‘O Roony (Doghouse Sam, Seatsniffers,The Coasters, Chuck
Berry...) handles the low frequensies on
the upright bass while steady rollin’ Koen VanPeteghem beats it
out on the drums. This is a killer band
that can’t wait to get on the road. They’ve just recorded a
duetwith Ghalia… more about that soon…
This band is ready, willing and able to shake it down!
