Evaluation Committee Responsibilities 1. Plan and implement the Health Fair Evaluation2. Create two separate surveys

○ One for the public attending the fair and one for the exhibitors (one page each)○ Make certain there are enough copies (university will make copies)

3. Distribute surveys to attendees and exhibitors the day of the health fair4. For community participant survey, do not just ask whether they liked the health fair or not, ask if they intend to

change their behavior as a result of the health fair, or whether they wanted to learn about a topic that we didn’t include, which topic they liked best, least, would they come back again, etc. For residents, most items should be close-ended with a response format (e.g. Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree or have a list for them, where they can select several responses). At the most, have only one or two open-ended items.

5. For exhibitors, most items should be close-ended.6. Make certain there are no “double-barreled” items.7. Need to determine how you will distribute the survey to health fair participants and encourage their participation.

· Walk around the fair requesting they complete the survey?· Provide an incentive of some sort?· Have them available at the “Welcome Table”?

○ Low attendance○ Wet/Muddy fields → Location Change

● Parking● 1 exhibitor dropped out the day before and 2 did not show up ● Confusion with vendor arrival time● Appropriately estimating food quantities especially with vendor

dropouts● Last minute needs (trashbags, veggie subs)
