I have learned that when you create opportunities for others, you in the end are given the greatest opportunity - that is to grow with those people you share adventures with. I have been very fortunate to have the support to create Dene A Journey and I hope these stories will inspire others to live life now, before the moment passes.
- Amos Scott
Dene A Journey is a television documentary series of indigenous guts, grit and smoky beauty.
Dene A Journey is the story of urban indigenous individuals on a trek to fulfill the universal desire to be more connected with one’s culture, but the journey becomes more a realization of one’s self.
Dene A Journey is a documentary series that tells the story of 6 people on individual journeys discovering their culture and re-defining their self. On this trek through life we find humour, frustration and joy, and the challenge to understand one’s identity. Each character starts to embody their own reality. They are wonderful modern indigenous humans, and there is no one answer. From an urban dweller to the bush and then back to the city, Dene A Journey is a realization of one self.
