GamesCharles Darwin was a family man and often enjoyed playing games with his children. Today we have many games from this time for you to play as a family.

HMS BeagleThe story of this great adventure brought to life, and then the chance for you to sail the world and collect ‘never before seen’ specimens. But beware......there may be pirates looking to steal your ship. Be prepared to fight using all your skills with the cannon.

NavigationBy the time Darwin set sail on the Beagle navigation was relatively easy, but less than 100 years earlier it was a different story.Learn how to use a ships log - why do we measure speed in knots - read the compass rose - what is the traverse board - how does a sextant work. An amazing presentation as the children leap overboard in order to measure our speed.

The extinction gameCharles Darwin was sat eating a meal he had shot when he realised it was a previously unknown species.Your opportunity to hunt your own food.

SignallingTheir will be presentations about the history of signalling during the day.
