The cast iron saw unit and the scorer with independent motor, which allows the saw to use 100% of the main motor, ensure a perfect cut, with extreme ease. Saw unit lifting is performed by a strong, cast iron structure with dovetail system. Precise, reliable, long lasting over time: the unit is supported and tilts on 2 cast iron trunnions, with a diameter of 120 mm. The scoring unit can be adjusted from the outside without tools and allows rapid, precise positioning.

The spindle moulder fence can be easily removed and re-positioned without losing the working position, thanks to the memory system. The fence, besides, uses an adjustment system through rack and it has a mechanical readout.

The new 330 mm wide sliding table provides optimal support, even for large sized workpieces. The system for carriage sliding is on hardened, prism guides, which allows precise, straight cutting. Lasting precision is guaranteed by the exclusive assembly process. No glue is used to secure the guides, since the thickness could affect sliding. They are secured with a procedure for aluminium riveting along the entire length of the guide.

The 95 mm planer cutter block with 4 cutters ensures a precise, effective and quick removal. The thicknesser infeed roller has helical toothing to guarantee strong, constant workpiece feed. In contrast, the sandblasted steel outfeed roller maintains the perfect post-machining finish. For an impeccable result, the pressure of the thicknesser feed rollers can be adjusted according to the type of wood machined.

Profiling and tenoning: great versatility with the 4-speeds spindle moulder. The unit has a large cast iron structure. On demand, it is available the 45° tilting spindle, toward the inside of the machine.

Perfect planing, even with very long workpieces, with the ribbed cast iron surfacing tables. The worktables are made of heavily ribbed cast iron and the surface is carefully milled for lasting flatness and precision. In the combined machines, the opening of the worktables is performed with a simultaneous lifting, at 90°, towards the inside of the machine. For a maximum long lasting stability the cast iron thicknessing table lifts on4 spindles with trapezoidal threads dust protected. The new design of the dust-conveyor, protecting the cutter block, is specifically intended to further increase system safety and efficiency.

An impeccabile edge banding, with perfect final result. Glue is uniformly spread always at the maximum working temperature even on the panels of the maximum working height by the gluing unit. The copying rollers press the edge evenly and efficiently onto the panel. The end cutting unit, with adjustable blade and powered by an independent motor in the me 25, cuts off precisely at 90° any edge excess. Top-class finishing with the trimming unit, including 2 or 3 mm radius cutters and pad (me 25) copiers for perfect alignment with the panel.

A perfect vertical, horizontal and at 45° drilling operation, thanks to the advance 21 boring head made from single-piece aluminium casting. The boring unit runs on two rectified cylindrical guides which guarantee stability and precision. The machine is equipped with a mechanical revolver with 5 different boring depth adjustments. The new dust extraction system is incredibly efficient! Bits are replaced quickly and easily with the 21 quick-change chucks.

Solutions for optimal finish: the thicknesser infeed roller has helical toothing to guarantee strong, constant workpiece feed. In contrast, the sandblasted steel outfeed roller maintains the perfect post-machining finish. For an impeccable result, the pressure of the thicknesser feed rollers can be adjusted according to the type of wood machined.

For an infinitesimal precision and an easier machining it is available, on request, the round sliding bar on parallel fence complete with micrometric adjustment, cam-locking system and “high rigidity” cast iron support with (for st 4 elite and sc 4 elite only) digital readout.

Top quality precision, smooth and silent action, self-cleaning dustproof system, long lasting accuracy, no adjustments required. The elite sliding table is made of extruded anodised aluminium with a closed honeycomb structure. The sliding table runs on an exclusive slideway system consisting of calibrated and hardened F550 SX steel guideways. The sliding table is the result of 50 years’ experience and expertise at Scm. Available strokes: 1660, 2310, 2660, 3260 mm.

Stability and rigidity to guarantee a perfect cut: the new saw unit is a sturdy cast iron closed loop structure, solidly supported under the table by two lateral supports. The unit may be fitted with an optional scoring unit for a perfect cut even on faced panels.

Maximum stability and rigidity in all conditions of use of the spindle moulder, thanks to the unit with a large column made entirely of cast iron. The 4 standard speeds are ideal for any type of machining, from moulding to routing against the grain. The spindle moulder can be fitted with tools measuring up to 275 mm for tenoning (option).

Surfacing is very easy with the large sized tables. Switching from surfacing to thicknessing is simple and the inwards tables opening allows for easy and safe machining of workpieces up to 220 mm high.

Spindle moulder with superior performances! The unit has a spindle with a useful working length of100 mm. A tool with a maximum diameter of 180 mm can be retracted under the worktable. For machine maximum safety and increased flexibility, a spindle moulder protective hood for shaping is supplied as standard (CE).

Incredible cutting of both very thick solid wood and panels, even those veneered, thanks to the new saw unit with a blade that has a maximum diameter of 315 mm with the scoring blade fitted. The new scoring unit can be supplied on request and can easily be adjusted from outside the machine. Easier, more precise cutting is possible thanks to perfectly stable support guaranteed, even for large workpieces, by the 270 mm wide sliding table.

To keep the machines compact and make machining easier, the surfacing table opens towards the inside of the machine. Thanks to an efficient feed system, the thicknessing unit can process wood up to 200 mm thick.

A machine even more versatile: with the practical mortiser (option) drilling holes or mortises are easily done.

The planer unit has a cutter block with 2 re-usable knives (the “Tersa” disposable knives system with three knives and rapid clamping is available as an option). Genius machines also have saw-planer fences with an anodised aluminium extrusion and a support with clamp for fast positioning.

Tilting saw unit with a 250 mm blade and a maximum blade projection from table at 90° of 80 mm. The saw unit can be raised and tilted using convenient handwheels. The anodised-aluminium sliding table, with a 1200 mm stroke, slides next to the blade, thus ensuring better cutting precision.

Maximum flexibility in spindle moulder tool use, with the unit with 2 speeds (5000/7500 rpm). The machines have a spindle moulder fence with micrometric adjustment, a feature which is particularly useful on profiling jobs. Tenoning is easy too, thanks to the aluminium sliding table and the right speed setting.

Glue is uniformly spread and always at the maximum working temperature even on the panels of the maximum working height, thanks to the spreading roller with electrical resistance inside of the gluing unit. Two rollers press the edge evenly and efficiently onto the panel.

EFFICIENT BANDING

The control panel located on the front of the machine is used to control all the machine’s functions, quickly and intuitively.

For a superior quality edge banding me 25 can be fitted with an extremely precise edge scraping unit (option), with a practical exclusion device when not in use, and with a powerful brushing unit (option) for cleaning-polishing the edge.

Absolute precision provided by the end cutting unit, powered by an independent motor, that cuts off precisely at 90°, with a blade, any edge excess. Using the numeric readout the blade projection can be adjusted according to the thickness of the edge to be applied.

Top-class finishing with the trimming unit, including 2 or 3 mm radius cutters and pad copiers for perfect alignment with the panel.

The electronic temperature controller keeps the machine at a constant 150° C when the machine is not in use. This prevents glue burning and ensures a rapid return to work when edge banding recommences.

MACHINING CONSTANT CONTROL

The unit is equipped with an automatic loader for edge band rolls with pneumatic guillotine for cutting reels. The edge feed is powered and automatic (me 20).

SIMPLE TO USE

The edges are perfectly glued onto the panels, thanks to the pressing unit with three rollers: one fixed nylon roller and two rubber-coated rollers, the second of which pivots. Always clean, precise cut on the leading and trailing edges of the panel by the pneumatic end cutting unit. Perfect trimmed edge with the trimming unit with a cutting speed of 12.000 rpm.
