DURABLE ENVIRONMENTALLY TOUGH DESIGN MIL-STD-810G
The Cheetah3 radio is the wideband radio with the highest Transmitter
power in its class and weighs only 1.9kg. The battery provided is a Li-Ion
packs at 13Ahr (1kg). The T6-Aluminium milled, etched and powder-coat-
ed enclosure is sealed to pass IP68, tested at 3 meters sea water submer-
sion beyond 3 hours to ensure integrity.
ECCM – UNCOMPROMISED COMMUNICATION
• Standard integrated features include Data Modem and Satellite Positio-
ning Receiver.
• TRANSEC: Frequency Hopping (FFH) for stealth transmissions while
evading frequency jamming.
• COMSEC: Secure Digital Voice (SDV) for highest level of security to
counter unwanted decryption.
• ENCRYPTION options such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and
One-Time-Pad (OTP) encryption controlled by end user ensures complete
and stealth mission security.
• All the advanced features can be engaged simultaneously in end to end
secure and reliable communication.
The Cheetah 3 is agile and outperforms conventional radio communication systems ensuring MISSION SUCCESS based on our implemented advanced technologies.
DATA RATES
Modems for secure (encrypted) tactical messaging and situational aware-
ness over the radio link are available. The Basic Text Modem provides
selectable data transfer rates of 1200 or 2400 bps. The optional
ADVANCED DATA MODEM can provide user selectable data rates of
48kbps or 96kbps on VHF/UHF. Data rates to extend VHF/UHF up to
192 000 bps will be available soon.
MISSION TIME
The advanced power and battery management system incorporated into
the radio design ensures a low stand-by power consumption of 300mW,
while maximum power consumption at full power is limited to 90W. The
Li-Ion battery capacity types available is 13 Ah for up to 30hrs of mission
times depending on features and configurations in use. An internal
battery charger will replenish the battery fitted for indefinite mission times
using any dc 9-35V scavenged form all possible available sources such as
solar, motor bikes, vehicles or generators.
COMBAT NET, TACTICAL CHAT, FILE TRANSFER & BATTLEFIELD
AWARENESS
Basic TEXT capabilities are included in all radios as standard. Advanced
Tactical Chat, File Transfer, E-Mail with front line Battle Field Awareness
capabilities with external Tactical terminal and PC applications are user
options. LEGACY RADIO networks can be tied into the Cheetah3 Combat
Net with the Tactical Data Terminal (TDT) for seamless and secure
Combat Net communications.
INTEGRATED SATELLITE POSITION RECEIVER
Various Satellite Positioning Systems can be implemented. (GPS,
GLONASS*, GPS & GLONASS*, BDS*) The Satellite Position Receiver is
integrated and provides timing, position and heading information which
can be viewed in the field. The front mounted GPS antenna is highly
sensitive, but can be remote mounted for reception when radio installed in
armored vehicles or underground bunkers. The Satellite Position data can
be displayed in Latitude/Longitude, UTM or MGRS formats but user
selection and can be send to other radios upon request of by user choice.

Key Generation Software Applica-tion.This Application is embedded in the Configuration Application and enables the user to create and manage own secure AES128, 256 and the OTP encryption keys for COMSEC and TRANSEC modes.
Configuration Software Applica-tion.This Configuration Application runs on Ruggedised PC’s, Laptops and Field Tablets with Windows 7, 8, 10 enabling users to configure radios with all network parameters such as Channels, Address Book, Quick Messages, Call Sign, ALE network and includes the key generator for secure data, voice and hopping.
Rack ConfigurationsVarious rack configurations for tactical field as well as 19” mount-able racks are available with or without additional power amplifier for mobile, base station and cross-band repeater applications. Tactical Racks have a rapid release (Jerk-And-Run) capability for radios and Power Amplifier exchange if needed.
High Capacity Battery The 13 Ah Li-Ion battery provides standby time of up to 40 hours and operational time of up to 30 hours based on 1:1:10 duty while the 26 Ah Li-Ion battery would provide standby time of up to 80 hours and operational time of up to 60 hours on the same duty.
Remote Software ApplicationThis Remote Application runs on Ruggedised PC’s, Laptops and Field Tablets with Windows 7, 8, 10 enabling users to remotely program, set up and operate radios in all network COMSEC, TRANSEC and LINKING modes. This could be via 2-Wire, Serial, LAN, Ethernet and Microwave for distances from few km’s to thousands of km’s is possible.
Handsets and HeadsetsThe radio interfaces can accom-modate a wide variety of audio devices which includes but not limited to standards military handsets, headsets with passive and active Noise Reduction as well as VOX and Bone Transducer technologies for hands free opera-tions.
Field Chargers Portable flexible solar panels are available. The radio has an internal battery charger which is able to recharge the 13Ah battery in under 5 hours utilizing the flexible solar panel or any other obtainable 12-35Vdc
AntennasVarious wideband or band specific but highly efficient antennas can be provided according to the application or requirements.
• VHF/UHF efficient broadband tape whips antennas are available.• Longer Range sectional whip antennas are available upon request.
TacTalk Chat and File transfer App.The TacTalk Application runs on Ruggedised PC’s, Laptops and Field Tablets and Data Terminals with Windows 7, 8, 10 enabling users to communicate via chat, file transfer, voice calls and E-Mail to remote base stations, vehicles and man-packs.

Battery Charge OptionsThe standard charger recharges 1 battery at a time from AC. Multi battery chargers can charge up to 4 batteries at any time. DC Charg-ing from various sources, such as solar, car, truck, bike is possible.
TacTalk-Plus Situational Aware-ness AppThe TacTalk-Plus Application runs on Ruggedised PC’s, Laptops, Field Tablets and Data Terminals with Windows 7, 8, 10 enabling users to manage front-line battle field missions by tracking Blue forces, indicate red forces and strategic points plus all features of TacTalk.
TacTalk-Gate (Gateway and Break out App)The TacTalk-Gate application runs on a Windows PC enabling branch-ing in and out of the tactical network sending e-mails and text to users in outside web and GSM networks.
Tactical Data Terminal (TDT)Connecting Leopard, Cheetah3 or any other legacy radios to a TDT enables TacTalk-Plus capabilities between all of them. This would include TacTalk-Plus with all COMSEC capabilities.
Power AmplifiersVarious Power Amplifier models are available to boost radio signals improving high-speed data applications and opening more propagation channels.
- Mobile and medium powered base Stations;- AFRACAL2 Triple band amplifier can boost signals in VHF 100W and 75W in UHF.- AFRACAL-VRI duel can boost signals up to 75W.Repeaters and Re-BroBy connecting any Cheetah3 radios with another, or with a Leopard1 through the AUX cable to create a tactical repeater or re-broadcasting with just a few settings in the radio menu. Purpose made repeater rack configurations includes duplexer and band pass filter a power supply and charger for medium to longer term repeater deployments are available. Connecting the Leopard or Cheetah3 radios to any other legacy radio is achieved through a Cross Patch Box.
