This new Addonics Sapphire eSATA/USB 3.0 drive enclosure is a compact size drive enclosure designed to support full height SATA optical drive or 5.25" storage device such as the Mobile Rack. Made with a rugged brushed anodized aluminum body, the Sapphire eSATA/USB 3.0 drive enclosure is built for durability and to provide effective heat dissipation in various operation environment. Come with choice of high speed USB 3.0 or eSATA interface, this Sapphire enclosure is great for building your own custom external optical drive or drive cartridge system for hard drive or SSD.

Since storage device connected to eSATA port appears as an internal drive to the OS, the eSATA interface with an optical drive or hard drive can be used to boot up a computer, a great solution for system rescue operation or computer sharing or applications that need an external boot drive.
