1.1.Purpose:ThisdocumenthighlightstheCalibrationprocessforTestEquipmentsinSAPPM.2.Inclusionsinthisdocument:PrimarilytohighlighttheDataobjects,ProcessflowwithkeyemphasisonadditionalprocessstepstobeperformedinTestEquipmentManagement(CalibrationasknowninSAP).TestEquipmentManagementisaPMQMintegrationfunctionalityprovidedinSAPQualityManagementmodule.AsQMmoduleiscurrentlynotinusewithinIluka,thisdocumentwouldstressonaspectsofQMwhicharerelevanttotheprocessandwouldbenewtoMPAprocessscope.3.Exclusionsfromthisdocument:Thisdocumentdoesnotgetintodetailsofmaintenanceorderprocessingtoagreatdepthasitisunderstoodthatusersareadeptintheprocess.Integrationpointsarehoweverdetailedwhereverrelevant.4.TerminologiesandProcess:MasterInspectionCharacteristics(MIC):MasterInspectionCharacteristicssignifiesthecharacteristicsofamaterial/TestEquipmentwhichwillbeobservedduringInspectionandthevalueofthesameTestrecorded.Forexample:InthisdocumentwehaveconsideredtheTestEquipmentasaPressureGaugewhosekeyInspectioncharacteristic(MIC)wouldbePressurereading(wouldincludeLowerReading,UpperReading,MeanReadingifrelevant).MasterInspectionCharacteristicsforTestEquipmentmanagementshouldpreferablybemaintainedasmasterdatainSAPtofacilitateaccurateandseamlessCalibrationManagementprocess.Inspectiontype:InspectiontypeisatermintroducedfromQMmodule.ItsimplyreferstothesourceofInspection.Forexample:IfthesourceofQualityinspectionisGoodsreceipt,Inspectiontypeis01,ifitisProductionreceiptitis04,forTestEquipmentCalibrationworkitis14andsoon.ForCalibration(TestEquipmentManagement)scenario,inspectiontype14shouldbeused,asdemonstratedinthisdocument.Inspectionpoint:Inspectionpointsareusedtoidentifyobjectsunderinspection.ForexampleInspectionpointtoidentifysamples,InspectionpointtoidentifyMaintenanceobjects,freelydefinedInspectionpointsandsoon.Inspectionpoint300isusedtoidentifyEquipmentsforCalibrationinStandardSAPsystem.Aconfigurationsnapshotbelow:InspectionLot:InspectionLotsaregeneratedonasamplebasedonaspecifictriggerormanually.Incalibrationwork,InspectionLotonaTestEquipment(usingFixedsampleofquantity1)wouldbecreatedwhenaCalibrationworkorderisreleased.InspectionLotNo14xxxxxxxx..willbegeneratedwithInspectiontypeas14.2.ResultRecording&Usagedecision:ResultrecordingiscarriedoutontheInspectionLotgenerated.Duringresultrecording,thevalueoftheMICasobservedduringCalibration/Inspectionisrecordedinthesystem.ResultrecordingisfollowedbyValuationofsampleandUsagedecisiononthesample.InCalibrationwork,asdetailedlaterinthedocument,iftheTestEquipmentisfoundtobeunfitforuse,i.e.itsMICreadingsarenotasperstandardornotwithinprescribedtolerances,basedontheUsagedecision,theEquipmentcanbedeactivatedFrequencyofMaintenanceplanincreasedNotificationcanbegenerated.5.StepsinCalibrationTestEquipmentManagementa.MasterdataEquipmentmastershouldbecreated/mustexistItisbettertohaveaseparatecategoryforTestEquipments.SohavecreatedacategoryTforTestequipmentsin
