SAP BI BO Integration Checklist for Solaris

Preface

This document lists the checklist for integrating SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 with SAP BI 7.0 Net weaver 2004.

Intended Audience

This manual is intended for SAP Basis and SAP BO administrators.

Pre-Installation Check List

Do you have the right installation packages viz., BO XI 3.1 setup with the SAP Integration Kit and respective licenses?

Do you have hard disk space on the server as much as recommended by the Installation and Configuration guides?

Have you checked the system and platform compatibility?

Installation Order Check List

Check BW system for patch levels

Installation of Business Objects Server

Have you copied the sapjco.jar to <bobje>/tomcat/shared/lib?

Have you copied the librfccm.so and libsapjcorfc.so files to <bobje>/enterprise120/solaris_sparc?

Have you set LIBPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables to location of sapjco.jar?

Post-Installation Check List

Have you deployed transports in BW server?

Check connectivity by creating a universe on the SAP BW data, say, a BW Query

Make sure the BW Queries needed for data access in reports are made available for external access

Is SAP Option available in list of authentications for Infoview and universe designer?

Would you want to configure Single-Sign-On with SAP?

- Have you enabled SAP authentication in CMC?

- Have you configured global options for the SAP authentication?

- Have you imported SAP users and SAP roles to Business Objects Enterprise?
