Samurai Submersible - SRK Series Slurry Pump

WAPSA SRK Series Samurai Submersible Pump is a superior quality, robust & reliable submersible, suitable for

a wide range of slurry applications. The superior quality & durability is attributed to its heavy duty cast-iron

casing, high chrome alloy impeller, inlet plate & agitator. Efficient motor cooling is achieved with side discharge

channel design cast as part of the motor housing, resulting in long lasting pump performance. The dual

mechanical seal design, operating in separate oil chamber combined with a 4-pole motor provides greater

torque & reduced wear, resulting in increased durability. The SRK Series pumps are ideally suited for high

concentration of slurry with the agitator maintaining the solids in suspension. This in combination with the

curvaceous casing design has the capacity to channel high concentrations of slurry, eliminating settling &

minimizes the risk of clogging.

SUPERIOR FEATURES

Cable Entry – Water Ingress Protection

Every Samurai Submersible Pump has an anti-wicking segment design eliminating moisture incursion into the motor

as a result of any damage to the cable, through the capillary wicking action. Each strand of wire is stripped back to

the core and is completely sealed by vulcanized rubber (on smaller pumps) or epoxy mould (on larger pumps) to

insulate each strand of wire.

Motor Protection

All Samurai Pumps are fitted with motor protectors to protect the motor from overloading, particularly in times of

locked rotor.

Heavy Duty Shaft

Whilst most manufacturers are trying to cut costs of production of submersible pumps by making pumps lighter,

Samurai pumps maintains a heavy duty shaft, with low Length/Deflection ratios. The lower the ratio, the lower the

shaft deflection, results in lower rate of shaft fatigue for reliable operation.

Dual Mechanical Seal

All Samurai Pumps include a Dual Mechanical Seal, with a vast

majority of models having both sets of seal faces manufactured

from Silicon Carbide. Smaller pump seals materials consist of

carbon/ceramic secondary seal with a Silicon Carbide/Silicon

Carbide primary seal. Primary seals are located completely out of

pumping liquid, operating in an oil filled chamber, ensuring trouble

free operation.
