  • Greasing oils for main bearings and pitch/yaw bearings are pumped by automated lubrication system, which reduces maintenance time for replacing grease, and enhances durability of the beaings as well.

    Full sized converter satisfies any grid code requirement, since it is capable of providing reactive power even at grid fault and responding immediately at grid transients. The converter combined with generator is tested for LVRT(Low Voltage Ride Through) to ensure excellent power quality.

    Different from hydraulic type, electrical pitch and yaw drives remove regular sealing check of hydraulic pipe and connectors. Inverter control is applied to prevent transient shock to gear teeth.

    Reliable Drive Train Validated by Advanced Analysis and Physical Tests

    Shaft system consists of two bearings (DTRB+CRB) with single housing, which reduces transmitted axial load from rotor to gearbox. Gearbox can be replaced easily without laying down whole tower top.

    Torque limiter installed on high speed shaft eliminates any damage of gearbox caused by unexpected extreme torque.

    Hydraulic flow at gearbox mounting effectively dampens nodding vibration in the transfer path of load.

    Three stage gearbox (one planetary, two spur) provides stable and proven performance, which is verified by HALT(Highly Accelerated Life Testing) to ensure 25-year design life. The test simulates realistic environments including vibrational excitations in all three axes using a wide range of frequencies.

    Dynamic motion and corresponding loads of whole drive train are simulated using an advanced analysis tool considering the most extreme conditions such as misalignment, deflection, etc. Calculated loads are validated at an accredited dynamo test facility in various operational conditions.

    Houston-based service network provides accessible and prompt services securing core materials for long-term applications and timely deliveries. All possible components necessary for maintenance and repair work are stored on location for immediate corrective actions.

All tolerances and alignments of the assemblies are strictly controlled by a digital monitoring system(RTDMS).
