Salesforce Mobile Classic helps your teams succeed by allowingusers to access their latest Salesforce data, whenever and whereverthey need it, directly from Android and iPhone devices.

The Salesforce Mobile Classic app exchanges data with Salesforceover mobile or wireless networks, and stores a local copy of theusers data in its own database on the mobile device. Users can editlocal copies of their Salesforce records when a data connection isntavailable, and transmit those changes to Salesforce when aconnection is available again. The app also promotes near real-timelogging of critical information by prompting users to enter updatesdirectly in Salesforce or Salesforce AppExchange apps afterimportant customer calls, emails, or appointments.

The Salesforce Mobile Classic server brokers the exchange of data between Salesforce and wirelessdevices running the mobile client application. The server pulls selected data from your Salesforceorganization and delivers it over wireless carrier networks to users devices.

The Salesforce Mobile Classic client runs on the device and stores a local copy of the users data inits own database. This allows users to work with their Salesforce records whether or not a wirelessconnection is available. Any changes or updates made on the device are immediately submittedto Salesforce by the mobile server. If a connection is not available, the updates are saved on thedevice and sent when the connection is restored.

The Mobile Administration Console within the Salesforce setup pages lets you manage the fulllife-cycle of your mobile deployment, including configuration, customization, and installation. Thissolution lets you maintain devices and make changes to mobile configurations completelyover-the-air.
