LESSON DETAILS
1. Lessons are weekly. Junior students’ lessons are scheduled at a set time and decided through the Itinerant Tutor timetable process, in consultation with the class teacher. Secondary students’ lessons are on an approved rotating timetable.
2. Lessons are individual or in pairs by arrangement for beginners. They are charged at $30 per half hour or $40 for two students together. Accounts will be sent near the beginning of each Term and are payable within four weeks. Any account adjustments will be included in the following Term’s invoice.
3. Absences not explained before the day will be charged. Absences by the Tutor will not be charged.
4. Each student is expected to have their own instrument. Assistance with hireage details can be provided by the tutor.
5. Students will need a tutor book, Learn As You Play Oboe by Peter Wastall (for beginners) or a Clearfile for music sheets (for more advanced students).
6. A high level of commitment is required by the student throughout the year to obtain the best results. She should come to lessons prepared and should follow a regular schedule of concentrated practice. Lessons may be terminated by the student or Tutor at the end of a Term, should any problems arise.
7. The Itinerant Tutor programme is part of the Music and Performing Arts Programme and incurs the Registration fee.
