Faith Formation
Parish Life
Our Children’s Liturgy of the Word will take a break for the Summer. The last week will be May 19th. We will resume in October.
Our Parish celebration of Tenebrae, which means “darkness” or “shadows”, took place on Friday evening, April 12th. This service incorporates the use of light and darkness as we are invited to walk with Jesus.
FROM THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Tootsie Roll drive on the weekend of April 6th-7th. We collected $457 to benefit special needs children at St. John of God School and Lark School. Thank you for your generosity!
The Prime Timers will meet on Tuesday, May 14th at 12 noon in the Parish Center. Our luncheon committee will serve Waldorf chicken salad sandwiches. The dessert table will open after our program.
Cheryl Egizi, Health and Wellness Educator, will present “Is Your Home a Healthy Home?” Did you know that common household chemicals may gradually be making you and your family sick? Scientist and doctors are discovering that there is a connection between our increased use of household chemicals and the increased incidence of chronic illnesses like cancer, asthma, ADD, nervous disorders, birth defects, infertility, and a host of other problems. There is a happy ending. There are manufacturers that offer people-friendly products. It’s easier than ever to make informed choices about what you bring into your home.
New members are always welcome to come and have fun, meet friends and enjoy lunch with us.
There are many new books at the book swap table. You may drop off an unwanted book and swap it for another or you may just take several books home to enjoy.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Spring is in the air so that means VBS is right around the corner.
This year, travel back with us to the Wild West where we take God’s Love to New Frontiers. We will discover something even greater than gold sparkling in a river! We will discover the good news of God’s love for us.
The adventure begins on July 8, 2019 and lasts through the week. Registrations are in the foyer of the church or at the Parish office. For more information, please contact Kathleen Mitchell at 856-553-6669 or [email protected].
