Anointing of the Sick—Anyone facing surgery or dealing with a serious illness should contact the parish office or Fr. Kevin for the reception of this sacrament. Anointing before surgery can be done prior to or after Mass on the weekends. Please call the parish office to inform us if you are in need of this sacrament.

Reconciliation—Saturday at 4:15 pm or by appointment. Communal penance services are also held twice yearly.

Sacrament of Marriage—Please contact Fr. Kevin at least six months in advance to insure ample time for planning, preparation, and scheduling your wedding.

Communion to the Sick and Homebound—If you or someone you know is ill, in the hospital, or homebound, please notify the parish office so a visit can be arranged. Fr. Kevin, one of our deacons, or an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist will be glad to bring Holy Communion.

WHY REGISTER IN A PARISH? A Catholic parish is the single most important part of our Catholic Church. This is where we continue the mission of Jesus Christ. This is where we publicly express our faith, joining together with others to give witness of our communion with God and with one another.

There are many reasons to register:

A sense of belonging and identity in a parish community.

Provides the parish community with a way to welcome you.

In times of joy and in times of struggle, it is comforting to have the support of a faith family.

It is a commitment to practice your faith

Gives a chance for you and your family to be counted and heart in the parish.

Being included in the demographics of the parish helps in the planning for the needs of the parish.

Gives the parish a way to connect with you.

In order to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, or Holy Matrimony, you will need to be registered parishioners.

PLESASE also remember to let us know when you:

Move or stop using a post office box

Change your phone number or email

Registration forms can be found at the back of the church or by coming to the church office. You may also update your information by emailing [email protected] or call the church office at 770.964.5804 .

Welcome Grant

211 Kirkley Road, Tyrone, GA 30290, www.olvcatholicschoolK-8.org, (770) 306-9026

WELCOME GRANTS AVAILABLE AT LOCAL CATHOLIC SCHOOLS Welcome Grants will soon be available to families wishing to give Our Lady of Victory Catholic School a try. The grant significantly reduces tuition for the child’s first two years at our school and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Qualifying students will be immersed in a safe & nurturing environment with a strong curriculum and dedicated teachers committed to each child’s growth.

Catholic schools are important not just for the young people who attend them, but for the whole Church and the whole community. Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School is truly a blessing, providing young people with an opportunity not only for an academically excellent education, but also a faith formation which will serve them the rest of their lives. In fact, the 87 seniors who graduated this year

have obtained over $12 Million in scholarships, not including the HOPE, and 32 have been accepted to some of the premiere Catholic colleges in the nation.

To ensure that the blessings of Catholic education are available to as many children as possible, the Archdiocese of Atlanta has established a Welcome Grant Program. This program guarantees a $4,000 tuition discount the first year and $2,500 tuition discount the second year. Financial need is not a prerequisite for this grant. Additionally, families may also apply for financial aid. To apply for this grant, please go to www.welcomegrantsatl.com starting June 1 . God bless you and please pray for the schools.

contados como parte de la parroquia.

la planificación de las necesidades de la parroquia.

Le da a la parroquia una manera de conectarse con

usted.
