Actionable Lists

Q: Can we create our own lists?

A: Yes. A new tool “Application Architect” will allow the definition of new lists and views based on any entity or named query on the intuitive data model. Within this tool, the visible fields, sorts and filters can be set. We will provide some key lists out of the box, but these are completely customisable.

Q: Can we add our own buttons to lists?

A: The designer of the list will be able add actions buttons for that list based on the application options (e.g. new sales order). We hope to extend the mechanism to later to allow other applications similar to the capabilities of the TCR mechanism.

48

Reporting

Q: Can other PDF readers be used as well as Adobe?

A: Adobe is the recommended reader but we have tested with ‘Foxit’ and ‘Perfect PDF’ we anticipate other readers will work

Q: Are the PDF tags kept?

A: The PDF is generated each time at run time so any tags would be recreated

Q: Do line printers disappear can there send print to a tray?

A: New reports will output to standard printers. It may be possible to use line printers for legacy reports.

Q: What’s happening with the ‘Spooler Manager’?

A: The spooler will remain as is but be updated to handle the new PDF

49

Reporting (continued)

Q: Can reports be emailed?

A: Yes

Q: Will reports export to Excel?

A: Reports can be saved as PDF, XLS or XML

Q: What barcodes does the ‘Sage Report Designer’ support?

A: Show List

Q: Are barcodes kept on the print in a format which can be scanned?

A: Yes

50

Integration (Current thinking)

Q: Can the synchronisation be just one way?

A: Synched items such as accounts will be two way by default. A role concept is being reviewed to achieve one way updates.

Q: Does the security model support who can change elements which impact the entire system such as prices?

A: Services like prices deliver prices only from ERP. The role concept is being reviewed to achieve further control such as who can create an order from CRM.

Q: Is the data held in both systems for offline/online usage?

A: Yes. Synched items store data on both side to enable offline usage.

Q: When synchronising how do we handle changes such as: stock or account balances?

A: The synchronisation handles this and further details TBC

51

General

Q: How are the 3rd party integration progressing?

AA: Show progress

Q: What’s happening with the CRM integration?

A: We are working with the CRM teams (Sage CRM and Sales Logix) to design and develop the solution which considers your feedback with the expectation of a release this year.

Q: Is there any news on ‘End of Life’ for old Line 500 versions?

AA: Based on feedback we are looking at an incentivised migration strategy

Q: When is Sage ERP 1000 v3.0 being released?

AA: The release to market date is 30th July 2010
