Previous Student Conventions

•September 2006

–Venue: BSA Crescent Engineering College, Chennai

–Cart-Baja Design Competition conducted

–26 colleges and more than 800 students attended

–First of its kind and a run away success

–Most of the collegiate clubs became active

–Venue: PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore

–Five competitions in a 3 tier format

–39 colleges and more than 1300 students engaged

– Twelve New Manufacturing Events introduced in Tier-3

Total 1200 Student members participated from all around Tamilnadu, Hyderabad, Kerala & Pondicherry in the Convention, Every year the success rate is going up & the 2015-16 Convention will be the huge one.

Competition in Every College

Tier-2: Division Level Finals at Divisional Centres

Top team in every college moves to zonal competition

Tier-3: Convention level (Finals)

Wining teams as per event rules from every zone moves to final competition

•Training material by SAEINDIA Southern Section

•Industry volunteers to support and oversee contests

•Teams from other sections – wild card entry into tier-2
