FAITH FORMATION As you look forward to summer vacation and all its freedom and fun, it’s important to remember what you learned in your Faith Sessions. Don’t turn off or tune out your relationship with Jesus. Don’t become too busy to pray each day. Don’t skip Sunday Mass because you’re not going to classes. As you enjoy all your summer fun, set aside a little time to lean into and against Jesus for comfort and reassurance. Jesus loves you and wants to share your joys, and help you through any pains or difficulties that arise. Always keep Jesus in your heart. God Bless you, Mrs. Raiker Re-registration for 2014-2015 will begin in May and may be done on the website.

STEWARDSHIP UPCOMING EVENTS

STEWARDSHIP “Stewards Live God’s Plan”

“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will

of God, than for doing evil.” 1 PETER 3:17

The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our planning, making sure things are progressing smoothly, then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result that was intended. An unforeseen problem arises. Many times we may respond negatively. Why me? I did everything right! Here’s the thing – God has a different and better plan in store for those who live as His Stewards.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT AT ST. SIMON STOCK

Robert Pallante, a member of the parish and altar server, will be conducting his Eagle Scout Project at St. Simon Stock. He plans to construct a prayer/reflection garden for parish members where they may rest and connect with God. This garden will be built around the Blessed Family statue located behind the rectory. He is currently raising the funds necessary for the completion of this project and will be selling hoagie tickets for the Villa Deli after each mass. If you would like to provide support in any way please contact Robert at his home phone number, 856-740-5089, or on his cell phone, 856-405-7738. You may also email him at [email protected]. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
