Regret
I had once in my life time of wandering come upon a cave. Within I found there was a window. Peering through I could stare into someone’s life. It felt strange to be invading her life. Yet I couldn’t help but continue to watch as the story of her life unraveled before my curious eyes. Her life transformed from happy to twisted and full of sadness at her inability to act on her desire. The once glo as the skelatal hands of the ever present reaper clutched the strong chain of its hungry pet. Its eyes narrow in hungry anticipation, the reaper’s pet sits waiting patiently. Somehow able to tear my eyes away. I found the reason for her demise. Some cruel person had cut the red line of of fate. There she sits stuck in the cruel world of limbo unable to continue and unable to die.

The BeautifulVsThe Sublime
Blink I found that I responded to the prompts with drawings and writings involving something with death yet peaceful at the same time. Though as the prompts moved along the images became more pleasant through the vibrant colors used. There is a tinge of sadness and death that still lurk with in all from the reoccurring image or part of a skeleton. My favorite prompt was regret.The reason is because I really enjoyed the image that flowed out of my pencil. Although the drawing is rather dark the idea was very appealing to me. My favorite material was graphite the reason was because it al-lows for simple yet elegant drawings. In particular I enjoy also working mainly in black, grey, and white. A place I took risks in my art was in the painting piece. The reason I feel that I took a risk in this was because I don’t work with colors and in particular paints. In this piece I tried to give the painting as much dimension as I could through the colors and draw the view in with the bright colors. The risk I took content wise in this piece was through the rather bizarre idea of having some demon like creature in a person’s head. In photography I felt that the risk I took was through pictures of objects or things that people really don’t notice like a random little pile of leaves with a little sugar package in the corner by a building. My writing unfortunately was very much the same and the only risks I took was through strange poems that were inspired by my bizarre art pieces.I found that I always tend to be very simple in my drawings.In composition I like to center every-thing. In particular the moods are very sad as can be seen in the drawing for regret through the use of one color and the dark background.
