Rome Middle School Suggested Summer Reading 2013-14
We are constantly trying to improve our Suggested
Summer Reading List for Rome Middle School students, so this
years list includes several new authors and selections. We have
divided the list into 3 categories Fiction/Fantasy/Sci-Fi,
Nonfiction and eBooks. It is very important for children to be
reading a variety of genres, and we have included a wide variety
of contemporary and classic texts from which students maychoose. Some of the texts are specifically recommended for the
new rigor in the Common Core Curriculum which was rolled out
last fall. This year, students Summer Reading project is due no
later than the first full week of school (Aug. 6-10) for an EXTRA
