RODRIGO NEFTHALÍ[guitarrista / guitarist]
Rodrigo Nefthalí was born in Mexi-co City in 1978.
In his motherland, he studied at the Manuel M. Ponce Center of Musical
Studies, in Aguascalientes City, and afterward, with Victor Pellegrini at Gua-
najuato.
In Barcelona, Spain, he took the Conti-nuous Formation Course, offered by the ESMUC, under tutelage by Zoran Dukic,
and a specialization grade at Luthier School with Fernando Rodríguez.

Nació en México D.F. en el año de 1978.
En su país natal estudió en el “Centro de Estudios Musicales Manuel M. Pon-
ce” de la ciudad de Aguascalientes y posteriormente con Víctor Pellegrini
en Guanajuato.
En Barcelona – España, realizó el curso de formación continuada que
ofrece la ESMUC con Zoran Dukic, así como el curso de especialización de
la “Escuela Luthier”, con Fernando Rodríguez.
Ha recibido clases magistrales de prestigia-dos profesores como: Leo Brouwer, Álvaro Pierri,
Costas Cotsiolis, Jukka Savijoki, Meyer Cupfer-man y Hopkinson Smith, entre otros.
Ha obtenido importantes reconocimientos en el ámbito de la guitarra clásica de los cuales ca-
bria mencionar los siguientes:
PRIMER PREMIO en el CONCURSO “GUITARRA SIN FRONTERAS” de la ciudad de Chihuahua – Méxi-
co, 2004.
TERCER PREMIO en el CONCURSO INTERNACIO-NAL DE GUITARRA “JOSÉ TOMÁS” que se realizó
en la ciudad de Petrer – España, 2007.
Ha realizado conciertos en importantes salas de:Suiza, Francia, Polonia, Holanda, España, Italia,
Luxemburgo, Finlandia y México.
He has taken masterly classes with pres-tigious professors as Leo Brouwer, Álvaro Pierri, Costas Cotsiolis, Jukka Savijoki, Meyer Cupfer-
man and Hopkinson Smith, between others.
He has been awarded with important recog-nitions in the classical guitar medium, of which
include:
First Price in the “Guitar Without Borders” Com-petition held at Chihuahua, Mexico in 2004.
Third Price in the José Tomás International Guitar Competition held in Petrer, Spain in 2007.
He has performed in major halls from Switzer-land, France, Poland, Holland, Spain, Italy, Lu-
xembourg, Finland and Mexico.
TRAGAluz Ha actuado como solista con importan-
tes orquestas y agrupaciones de música de cámara como:
Orquesta de Cámara Helvética, Camerata Ponce, Orquesta Sinfónica de Aguascalien-
tes, Orquesta de Cámara de la “Universidad Michoacana”, Orquesta Sinfónica Carlos
Chávez, Filarmónica de Cámara de Catalu-ña, Cuarteto José White, entre otras.
Perteneció al grupo mexicano de música an-tigua “Los Tiempos Pasados” en el cual ejecu-
taba el laúd y la mandora.
As soloist, he has performed with outstan-ding orchestras and chamber music groups
like Helvetian Chamber Orchestra, Ponce Ca-merata, Aguascalientes Symphonic Orchestra,
“Universidad Michoacana” Chamber Or-chestra, Carlos Cháves Symphonic Orchestra, Cataluña Chamber Philharmonic, José White
Quartet and others.
He was part of the mexican group of antique music: “Los Tiempos Pasados”, performing the
lute and the mandola.
He has participated in several internatio-nal festivals of art and music, including: “Calle-jón del Ruido” International Festival at Guana-juato, Mexico in 1999, Cervantes International
Festival (Mexico, 2001), Theater International Festival held at Calgiari, Italy (----), Guitar Inter-national Festival of Morelia (México, 2008), In-
ternational Festival of Paracho (Mexico, 2008), and “II Ritratto del Chitarrista” (second portrait
of the guitarist) held at Italy (2010).
Ha tomado parte en diversos festiva-les Internacionales de Arte y Música como:
“Festival Internacional Callejón del Ruido” (Guanajuato - México 1999), “Festival Interna-cional Cervantino (México 2001), Festival Inter-
nacional de Teatro (Cagliari – Italia), Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Morelia” (México
2008), “Festival Internacional de Paracho” (México 2008), Il Ritratto del Chitarrista (Italia
2010), por mencionar algunos.

Fue profesor del “Centro de Estudios Musicales Manuel M. Ponce” de la Ciudad
de Aguascalientes - México y de la “Universi-dad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo”
en Morelia, México.
Actualmente es catedrático del “Conserva-torio de las Rosas” de la ciudad de Morelia,
México.
He taught at the Manuel M. Ponce Cen-ter of Musical Studies and the “Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo”.
Currently, he is professor at the “Conservato-rio de las Rosas” in the city of Morelia, Mexico.

Ha ofrecido clases maestras en impor-tantes instituciones como la Universidad Au-
tónoma de Aguascalientes, el Conservatorio de Valladolid – España y el Conservatorio del
Liceo de Barcelona, España.
Also, he has given masterly classes at impor-tant institutions as the Autonomous University
of Aguascalientes (Mexico), the Conservatoi-re of Valladolid (Spain) and the Conservatoire of the Lyceum of Barcelona (Spain).
