Road Trip Blanket

This adorable stroller or car set blanket is ideal for traveling with small children. The lightweight cotton will keep them warm in the air conditioning and folds down compactly for easy storage.

Materials: • 2 Hanks Cascade Luna (50g/1.75oz ea approx. 82yds/75m, 100% Peruvian Cotton) in #724 Lemon (A) • 1 Hank each #728 Lime (B), #735 Sea Breeze (C),

#713 Sprout (D), #759 Malachite (E) • Size US 8 (5mm) 24” Circular Knitting Needle

• Tapestry Needle

Gauge:

• 14 sts and 20 rows/4” in lace pattern, blocked. Gauge

is not imperative for this project.

Approximate Finished Size:

• 24” wide x 36” long

Abbreviations:

K4tog: knit 4 sts together

S2k2p: sl 2 sts, k2tog, pass 2 sl sts over

Yo: yarn over

Lace Pattern:

• Row 1 (RS): *k1, k4tog, [yo, k1] five times, yo, s2k2p* until 1 st remains, k1

• Row 2 (WS): *k4, p7, k3* until 1 sts remains, k1

• Row 3: knit

• Row 4: k1, purl until 1 st remains, k1

Repeat rows 1-4 for pattern

Instructions:

• With A, CO 85sts

• Begin lace pattern, working rows 1-4 in A twice, 1-4 in B, 1-4 in C, 1-4 in D, 1-4 in E

• Repeat previous 24 rows a total of 6 times or until

desired length is reached

***NOTE*** if additional length is added, more yarn will be needed

• BO loosely knitwise in E

• Weave in all loose ends with tapestry needle

• Block well
