Zhu Jin Yuan Bagua Zhang Association was founded by Wu Jin Yuan. Because of various dangers, he grew up in an environment saturated with martial arts practitioners, leading to his study of the art of Bagua from Gao Yi Sheng in Shandong China at the age of 8. After years of training and researching the techniques all around China, he moved to Xin Zhu where he taught privately (mostly to military) for the next 40 years.

⼭東鄉下地區的莊院,為了防範⼟匪,響⾺來打家劫舍,所以也⼤多設有

護院,⽽且院中從⽼⾄少皆有習練功夫以強⾝保家,⽽先⽣家更是當地地

主,所以練功更是家中⼀項重要⼤事,⽽當時當地之⼈⼤多以學習少林拳

之類拳術為主,⽽所謂的⼋卦掌在當地尚未⾵⾏.

Wu Guo Zheng, had seen his father, Wu-jin Yuan practicing martial arts since he was born. Filled with the passion to carry on his father’s legacy, he began his training in 1979, taking the responsibility of successor and organiser of the Xin Zhu Jin Yuan Bagua Zhang Association.

Robert Jay Arnold

⾃4歲起,孔有有在⽗親的要求下,開始習武以⾃衛 (拳擊, 跆拳道, 泰拳, 忍術, 截拳道),使他和功夫結下30個年頭的不解之緣。13年前, 孔有有赴台灣學藝,希望學會既好看⼜好⽤的⼋卦掌。後來,找到擁有深厚⼋卦掌

功夫底⼦的⽼師吳國正.

Robert Jay Arnold began his training in martial arts at the age of four because of his father’s request as defence for a dangerous environment. After training various arts for twenty years, (muay thai, boxing, taekwondo, ninjutsu, grappling, Jeet Kun Do etc.) he learned Chinese in order to further his understanding of martial arts. He moved to Taiwan and trained Bagua with Wu Guo Zheng for ten years, before becoming the 6th generation successor and American representative of the sacred art.

Simple, effective and direct. The Heaven Section is also called the Way of Striking, representing the first 8 of the 64 palms.The way of striking emphasises striking and defence from all angles.

乾卦的地⽀⼋卦六⼗四⼿的1-8⼿,也叫打法。世上所有都是來⾃天堂,就像⼋卦掌全部的⽤法都來⾃天掛的練習.重視⽤⼋個⾓度來攻擊與反擊. 乾卦代表 “天”因為動作直接, 純潔及很有⼒量.

The Heaven Section is great for self defence, aerobic workout and moving meditation.

這個練習可⽤來防⾝,有氧運動及冥想. 適合年⼈與⾧輩練.

The Water Section, represents movements 9-16 of the 64 palms and is also called the Way of the Hands. It uses precise hand techniques that can manipulate a much larger opponent or even an armed combatant. Also great to get the unwanted flab off the arms. 坎卦是六⼗四式中的9-16 掌 坎卦代

表⽔。全部的⽣物需都要⽔為了⽣存但是太多⽔⼀定會毀滅任何的⽣

命。誰能控制⽔就能控制安全與危險。這個練習使⽤靈活的⼿法為了控

制對⼿的⼒量 如⽔進⼊每⼀個暴露的空間及弱點

We don’t all have to be great at swimming, but we should all know how to swim. The Water Section teaches to swim through the dangers of a close encounter with circular and subtle techniques. The motions are also great for weighted exercises to develop a defined frame. 因為這個拳法強調技巧不是⼒量,很適合⼥⽣與⼩孩練⽤來防⾝,也可以讓⼿背的肥⾁消失。 常練就會有苗條的⾝材。因為動作不明顯。這拳也很適合保安的⼯作.

Don’t touch, unless you want to know what touching is all about. The Mountain Section represents movements 17-24 of the 64 palms and it’s also called the way of diverting energy. Repel, deflect, absorb or evade every attack and make the opponent feel the twice the amount they attempt to give. ⾉卦是⼋卦六⼗四掌的第17-24掌。⼭是不能被動的, 也是無聲的⼒量. ⾉卦代表⼭, 這個練習叫卸法強調反攻的技巧. 這⼋個式⼦⽤擊退, 偏斜, 吸收 或 避閃,來克服對⼿的攻擊。⼈想要打你,只會暴露弱點。

Great for fitness and combat, but especially great for reflexes and learning to relax under pressure. A great counter fighter is also great in the surgery room, ready to react to unforeseen problems. 這練習提升反應, 速度與奧妙的動作。這個技巧會幫助解決突然發⽣⽣命的問題⽐如醫⽣開⼑時候或

No matter what hits, it’s gonna hurt. Thunder Section is also called the Way of Body, representing movements 25-32 of the 64 palms. The body is one piece that is only divided into different strikes for our understanding. Yet, deep study teaches that any part of the body is a strike at any time. 雷卦是⼋卦六⼗四掌的第25-32掌。雷是隱形的也是恐怖的。隱形的攻擊也是最可怕的! 雷卦是強調⾝法的攻擊與反攻。整個⾝體是⼀個兵器, 每⼀個⾝體的部分就是⼦彈。⼩的動作有⼤的⼒量, ⼤的動作有無限的選擇。

The Way of the Body is perfect for strengthening of the entire human frame. Learning to contract and expand, unleashing power in all directions requires attention to every part. Easily getting a shapely figure while developing an effective combat system. 雷卦的練習很適合⼈想要提升全⾝的⼒量,減肥或要⽐較結實的⾝材。當⼈了解這個⼒量的來源後就可以很輕鬆的做任何的⾟苦的⼯作。

Wind Section is also called the Way of the Elbow, representing movements 33-40 of the 64 palms. No one know where the wind come from or where it goes, we only feel it when it arrives. In Bagua the elbow is deceptive and uses circular motions of varying degrees to meet objectives not only for striking, but locking and diverting energy as well. 巽卦是⼋卦六⼗四掌的第33-40掌沒有⼈知道⾵來⾃哪裡我們只能感覺到它達到我們⾝邊的時候。巽卦代表

⾵, 也叫肘法.⼿肘的攻擊與防禦是⼀樣神秘。肘不只是能⽤攻擊, 也能⽤來擋住, 卸⼒或擒拿。

The elbow is a silent weapon that can be hidden between hand or shoulder strikes. Working these techniques is a great upper and lower body work out, especially effective for back, shoulder and lat development 肘如⾵是隱形的。它很快能變成⼿掌或肩膀的攻擊。慢慢的練習會提升關節能⼒也可

Fire Section is also called the Way of the Legs, representing movements 41-48 of the 64 palms. Through creating coiling energy in the waist and generating it throughout the legs, the energy can be used for kicking, tripping, hooking and take downs. ⼀點點的⽕就⾜夠燒到森林。離卦代表⽕也叫腿法。⽤踢腿的技巧把對⼿燒起來了。可以踢⾼,中及低的位置,也可以⽤勾跟掃的動作把敵⼈甩掉。每⼀步是踢,每⼀踢是步。

Leg exercises at different speeds can be beneficial for both exercise and combat purposes. Slow motion kicking and tripping movements are great for the thighs, hamstrings and glute muscles. In terms of defense, use footwork and handwork, to hide the trajectory of the fire beneath. ⽼化是從腳開始,常做腳的運動能維持年輕的狀況,可以為了提升腳的⼒量跟柔軟度⽽練習。年輕⼈可以踢快為了提升專注⼒,平衡與準確性。⼿與踢

Deception and cunning always beat out strength. The Earth Section is also called the Way of Entry, representing movements 49-56 of the 64 palms. Breakdown any opponents defence through peeling, leading or wrapping the guard. In many ways the Earth Section is much like a locksmith working a tumbler. 地⼀直在改變形狀。有時候是乾的,有時候是濕的有時候是軟的有時候是硬的。但是不管它有甚麼形狀它藏了全部的⼈類的歷史與秘

密,坤卦代表地也叫進法。是⽤狡猾與奧妙的動作為了毀滅對⼿防禦的

效果。就像鎖匠在開鎖, 進法是為了⽬標使⽤很多⼯具。

In order to dismantle the opponents guard the body must be limber, agile and balanced, which are the great attributes this art offers the practitioner. Continual practice aligns the body reducing stress while improving coordination and strategic thought. 這個練習要求敏捷, 平衡及仔細的動作。 常練不只是⾝體的⼒量會提升但是頭腦的反應跟解決問題的能⼒也會⼀起提升了。這些技巧很適合⽤在任何就業。

Let the depth of your offence and defence, drown oncoming attacks. The Lake Section is also called the Way of Footwork, representing movements 57-64 of the 64 palms. This style utilises footwork in circular motions, creating space where there is no space, to launch attacks or defensives from the most unlikely of places.

雖然湖的位置是 會動的, 裡⾯的⽔也不會停下來. 兑卦代表湖也叫步法. 這個練習⽤奧妙的步法讓對⼿看不到攻擊與防禦的來源. 靈活的步法可以在很窄的位置創造空間,也可以讓敵⼈的空間變⼩到不能動. 就像湖,⼈可能淹死在這拳法的深度.

Through excellent footwork the body becomes one well-toned shape, burning calories in a relaxing pace. Gain not only more balanced movements and coordination, but also timing, rhythm and confidence.
